Today, at the FIJLKAM / UIJJ instructor training course, I didn't just give a lecture: I even had a chance to retrace a lifelong journey.
My presentation focused on teaching methodology and new instructional tools, but above all, we discussed the responsibility and sensitivity that the role of a jiu jitsu teacher entails. Sharing thirty years of absolute dedication to studying and spreading Jiu Jitsu in Italy was a deeply rewarding moment for me.
If I close my eyes and go back to the 1990s, I see a young man who loved this discipline in an Italy where there were very few of us. I would never have dared to imagine that one day I would become an Instructor for a CONI federation. And yet, here we are: an incredible adventure that continues to surprise me.
A sincere thank you to those who make all this possible: to our President Dario Bacci, to Andrea Carotti, and to the tireless Massimiliano Monaco for their trust and for wanting me by their side once again.
As the train takes me back to Milan, I look out the window and reflect: giving your absolute best every single day, while sorrounding yourself with the right people, can lead us toward horizons that initially seemed impossible tò reach. I hope to have left a seed of curiosity and a stronger sense of certainty in the hearts of all the participants.

Ever wonder what’s behind the name Fudo-kan?
​In the martial arts world, this isn't just a sign on a dojo—it’s a warrior’s mindset. Fu-do (不動) means "immovable," and Kan (館) means "hall." Together, they create The Hall of the Immovable Mind.
​The name is a direct tribute to Fudo Myoo, the fierce "Immovable Wisdom King." Often shown surrounded by fire and wielding a sword, he represents the power to stay grounded while burning through fear and doubt.
​It’s all about Fudoshin—having a spirit so centered that no amount of chaos can knock you off balance.

A few months ago, Greg showed up at Fudokan looking for a place to train in Milan. Originally from Poland, Greg moved to Milan from Edinburgh, where he trained at the CVA Jiu Jitsu Academy .

​His competitive record is impressive: he won the IBJJF European Championships in the Blue, Purple, and Brown belt Master 2 divisions three years in a row—one title after another. Aside from his skills on the mat, he is the nicest guy and a fantastic teacher.

​This is why he is now teaching our No-Gi classes at the following times:

​Fridays at 13:00

Quest’anno abbiamo deciso di dare la priorità alla storia, alle radici e alla memoria del JiuJiutsu. Il JiuJitsu, per chiunque lo viva dall’interno, corre al galoppo in fatto di novità, innovazioni, mode e correnti.
Ma pochi, pochissimi conoscono realmente le sue origini, la sua storia, gli aneddoti e le sue basi più profonde.

Quest’anno il nostro Seminario pomeridiano sarà tenuto dal Maestro carioca , cintura rossa e bianca ottavo grado, testimone fondamentale della storia del JiuJitsu Brasiliano.

🔺La mattina sarà caratterizzata dal consueto appuntamento dedicato a tutti i tecnici Tribe JiuJitsu per l’aggiornamento didattico, mentre nel pomeriggio dalle 15.00 alle 17.00 avrà luogo il seminario. Dalle 17.00 alle 18.00 il nostro consueto Open Mat.

Trusting your Jiu Jitsu is a choice built on mechanical certainty, not hope. If you chase exotic techniques to bypass the basics, you aren't evolving; you're just stalling the inevitable. The "special move" is a band-aid that falls off the moment an opponent understands the trick, leaving you back at square one with zero structural integrity.
​True confidence comes from mastering the boring, invisible details of leverage and weight distribution. When your foundation is solid, you don't need to neurotically reinvent the wheel every time a roll gets tough. You stop looking for a miracle and start relying on the physics of the art. Master the core, or spend your entire journey distracted by shiny objects that won't save you when the pressure stays on.

Sabato 25 aprile avrò il piacere di dirigere un seminario tecnico presso la sede della Tribe Jiu Jitsu Padova, ospite del Maestro Michele Bovo. Durante l'incontro approfondiremo uno dei temi che preferisco in assoluto: l'utilizzo della pressione corporea per passare la guardia.

​L'obiettivo della sessione sarà quello di smontare e analizzare i concetti chiave che rendono questo stile di passaggio così efficace, passando dalla teoria alla pratica attraverso lo studio degli scenari che si incontrano più frequentemente durante la lotta. Impareremo a gestire il peso e lo spazio per rendere il superamento della guardia un processo fluido e inarrestabile.

​L'appuntamento è fissato dalle ore 15:00 alle 17:30 presso il CSC Padova in via Makallè 97. Per quanto riguarda l'abbigliamento sul tatami, è richiesto il gi bianco.
