Lately, my life feels like a whirlwind—juggling too many thoughts, commitments, and priorities all at once.
Yoga used to be my anchor, but these days, my mind tends to wander during practice.
I recognise it's just the weight of having too much on my plate.
Transitioning from one business to two has been a wild ride—one to maintain and one to grow.
I’ll admit, my first business has had its challenges: inconsistent income and a lack of strategy on social media.
That’s why I made the leap to start something new—something that could not only support me financially but also breathe new life into my first business.
What’s helped me the most during this time:
* Taking time off to do nothing.
* Writing everything down—ideas and plans.
* Stopping to breathe when I feel overwhelmed.
* Taking small but meaningful actions.
Today, I’m proud of myself for listening to my intuition and taking a step back from one business to build another. Because without this shift, I wouldn’t be on track to hire a mentor or plan for big goals like buying a car.
Who else is feeling the year-end hustle? Let’s remind each other: We’ve got this!

Summing Up November
November was an extraordinary month, full of milestones, growth, and new beginnings.
First and foremost, I turned 40! This significant birthday feels like the start of a brand-new chapter, a time to embrace wisdom, reflect on my journey, and step boldly into the next phase of life.
As I look back on the month, I realise more than ever that everything I do is an act of service to my community.
Whether through yoga, or even unexpected opportunities, I’ve learned to gently and calmly observe what people need and respond with care and intention.
I’ve come to understand that any work, when approached with love and purpose, can become a spiritual practice—it’s all about what we bring to it.
With this mindset, I made a big decision to diversify my income and launched a new business venture right here in Byron Bay.
My cleaning business, Align and Shine is an extension of my values. Our mission is beautifully captured in our tagline: “Caring for Spaces, Empowering People.”
This company allows me to connect with others in a different way, creating clean, uplifting spaces while building meaningful relationships.
The response so far has been incredibly encouraging! I’ve received heartfelt appreciation and glowing reviews on our page, and word of mouth has brought in more clients. It’s been a humbling and exciting journey to see this vision take shape and grow so quickly.
While I have big dreams for Align and Shine, my yoga business remains just as vibrant and full of potential.
Balancing these two passions is teaching me so much about entrepreneurship, adaptability, and staying true to my purpose.
I’m currently working on a YouTube video where I’ll share my journey with Dharma BAY Academy Business And Yoga With Purpose in more detail—from where I started back in April 2024 to where I am now and what I envision for the year ahead.
If you haven’t already, I’d love for you to subscribe to my channel and join me on this journey. You’ll find the link below to catch all my latest content.

The mind sometimes acts like an enemy.
By labeling new opportunities for growth as “unsafe” or “unfamiliar,” our minds create barriers that can stop us from pursuing the life we truly want.
But we are so much more than the boundaries our minds set. Real growth happens when we recognize that these “comfort zone barriers” are just that—boundaries, not limits. By moving beyond them, we unlock new potential, skills, and confidence.
One of the most common challenges yoga teachers face today is the transition to online teaching.
Yes, it’s daunting, but building an online presence and income stream is becoming essential to sustain our passion for teaching yoga.
And with the right mentorship, it’s absolutely possible to navigate this new territory successfully. Many yoga teachers, just like you, are stepping into the online space and finding meaningful ways to serve their communities, even from a distance.
If you feel you have something valuable to share with your community, but self-doubt or hesitation keeps holding you back, then consider this an invitation to break free from those limiting thoughts.
Imagine taking on this journey with a vibrant, supportive community that understands exactly what you’re experiencing because they’ve been there too.
Dharma BAY Academy offers the tools, support, and mentorship to help you confidently transition into online teaching, so you can share your wisdom, connect with a wider audience, and build a stable, fulfilling career.
By investing in yourself and joining Dharma BAY Academy, you’ll find the confidence, optimism, and empowerment to teach and thrive online.
And you’ll never be alone in this journey—the Dharma BAY community is here to support you every step of the way.
As a business fanatic and yoga teacher, I can see the potential in you and know this could be a transformative opportunity. But you must see it too.
You’re capable of this change, and Dharma BAY Academy is here to help you unlock it.
Comment ‘Yes, I see it,’ and I’ll DM you ASAP for a friendly chat!

If you're aiming to deepen flexibility and reach those advanced poses (like the front split!), you might want to incorporate ballistic stretching into your yoga routine. This technique uses rapid, bouncing motions to push muscles beyond their usual range. While it can be effective, proceed with caution — this is an advanced practice!
Here are a few safety tips before you get started with Ballistic stretching:
🌱Ballistic stretching It is not recommended for beginners because it can lead to injury if not performed with proper technique.
🌱Always warm up with some mobility exercise before starting ballistic stretches to reduce the risk of injury.
🌱Focus on controlled movements rather than forcing the stretch.
🌱 Listen to your body; if you feel pain, you must doing something wrong, do a bit more warm up in the area, try again and if the pain is still there then it’s not time for you to push further.
🌱Combine ballistic stretching with static stretching and strengthening exercises for best results.
Ballistic stretching is just one part of flexibility development at Dharma BAY Academy, where we explore dynamic, passive, active, and other advanced stretching techniques to help you grow in your practice. ✨

Recipe for Dissatisfaction: Becoming attached to numbers—like followers or income—can lead to endless dissatisfaction, as they’re rarely enough.
In the beginning, it’s natural to be focused on numbers, and there’s nothing inherently wrong with that; they can feel like a small reward for all the hard work we’re putting in.
But what I didn’t fully understand until recently is that building a business and social media presence is ultimately about creating a personal brand.
As you consistently create content, post updates, and engage with your audience, you’re not just tracking numbers—you’re cultivating values, principles, and a belief system. This is something you develop by showing up, sharing, and exploring with an open heart.
Through this process, we shape how others see us.
We’re crafting a reputation, an invisible influence on others’ perceptions and decisions.
In these early stages, we may not see immediate, tangible results in terms of followers, revenue, or leads. But that’s a natural part of the journey.
The question to ask ourselves isn’t, “How many followers did I gain today?” but rather, “How can I provide genuine value to my audience, and demonstrate my expertise?”
It’s not about one more ‘like’; it’s about cultivating meaningful interactions and receiving thoughtful feedback that can help us refine our offerings.
Keep sharing valuable content freely to establish yourself as a trusted expert.
Build relationships rooted in trust, knowing that we’re solving a problem for a specific person in our audience.
The experience and effort you’re investing now will reward you in time, whether in the form of followers, income, or leads.
Remember: your knowledge and experience will always be your most valuable currency.

What an incredible journey of transformation. This has been, without a doubt, the biggest shift I’ve experienced so far. From my 30s into my 40s, I’ve blossomed into the person I’ve always aspired to become—grounded, intentional, and aligned with my truest self.
For me, growing is a continuous discovery. I love to think that, as we grow, we can always become wiser, compared to that first time we suffered, made mistakes, or caused hurt.
I’m not saying I’ve reached the final destination; there’s still work to be done, growth to embrace, and so much more to learn. But every step I’ve taken, every decision I’ve made, and every moment of effort has brought me to a place of purpose and fulfillment.
I have been deeply immersed in the practice and teaching of yoga and the philosophy of building an online business around it in order to be able to work anywhere anytime and don’t confine my teaching to a place.
This path is one I’ve consciously chosen, guided by my values, dreams, and the actions I’ve dedicated myself to along the way. 🌱
