: la Terra Verde

= Kalaallit Nunaat(“Terra degli uomini” in groenlandese o inuit)
La saga narra che, esiliato dall’Islanda medievale, il vichingo Erik il Rosso decise di cercare nuovi coloni per popolare una terra sconosciuta. Aveva bisogno di un nome che evocasse un luogo accogliente, dal clima mite e dalla natura rigogliosa: Terra Verde.
I carotaggi effettuati negli anni ’90 hanno però dimostrato che, ai tempi di Erik il Rosso, la Groenlandia non era molto diversa da oggi. I coloni si insediarono lungo le coste, in aree soggette a inondazioni e caratterizzate da un clima estremamente rigido.
Le stesse analisi hanno tuttavia rivelato che, milioni di anni prima dell’arrivo dei vichinghi, la Groenlandia era davvero verde: un territorio coperto da vaste foreste e da una vegetazione lussureggiante.

DISASTRO 🌠
= “Cattiva stella”, influsso o allineamento sfavorevole degli astri

✨ Ieri: sorte avversa, effetto di una configurazione astrale negativa.
🔥 Oggi: evento rovinoso, naturale o umano, che provoca gravi danni o la morte di molte persone (come un disastro aereo o un disastro ambientale).
Il termine indica sia l’evento sia la condizione distruttiva che ne deriva.
Può descrivere anche un fallimento o una situazione molto negativa (come un investimento disastroso)
e, metaforicamente, una persona che combina guai ("quel ragazzo è un disastro!").

and, metaphorically, a person who causes trouble ("that boy is a disaster!").
