Our thoughts are so powerful, if we use them against ourselves then we for sure gonna fall in a vicious cycle of self doubt and on the other hand if we use them in our own favour then it does wonders.
So choice is yours at the end ,so why not to choose wisely.
Practicing self awareness is the best way to keep ourselves in a productive cycle, which not only helps us in professional life but also in all aspects of our life.
I know it’s tough to get away from those thoughts but trust me if you get a hang of it then you will be unstoppable.

Why our plans fail?
•
This question is always on my mind, but I never have the courage to look back on my mistakes because it makes me so anxious But now that I'm in a really good place, I try to analyze my mistakes and find solutions whenever I start loosing my mind.
•
So here are some tips to keep in mind when following your own plan or when you've just lost hope of starting over after failing to stick to.
•
1. plan for months but divide them down into daily tasks (e.g. you want to get your cardiology done this month, but come up with a smart meal day strategy to take away the overwhelming feeling of multiple programs)
•
2. never plan with a hectic schedule, add some rest and you'll be good to go.
•
3. Don't give up at the end of this daily routine (when we completed about 80% of daily task and left with that 20%, at that time we might get carried away that will do this later on but that time never comes and you'll have a lot more to do)
•
4.Have a vision. It sounds cliché, but having a vision of yourself getting this work done on time and making good decisions is important which will keep you on the right track.
•
5. You can change your plan daily but don't change the end goal (we usually keep changing the daily plan as well as the end goal eg: if you want to finish cardiology in that month this should be your end goal and you can change your daily strategy to reach that goal).
•

Sometimes things get tough ,we loose hope and it becomes hard to do those basic tasks as well.
In that moment we are left with 2 choices either surrender to the problem or find a solution.

-Why comparisons can ruin your productivity-
•
I've often felt this way, and I've been in many situations where I believed it was just good competition.
•
But, Unfortunately, I didn't realize that I was developing a toxic habit.
•
I'm a competitive person who only wants the best for others. Still, I've also been a victim of comparing myself to others' abilities.
•
I never came out on top in this comparison game, and all I ended up with was a sense of helplessness and self-doubt.
•
Some days, I feel as if I can accomplish anything. Even so, if I meet people who are better than me, everything crumbles, shatters, the plans, ambitions, and even a healthy lifestyle vanishes.
•
Then all I can think about is how to be better than that person, and I find myself trapped in a cycle of junk food and an unhealthy lifestyle.
•
Me Being a person who compares his own skills to others all the time has never done well, comparison is good but to a certain level of no self-doubt or no lowed self- esteem.
•
To sum up, if you're feeling helpless or impotent compared to others (whether it's your friends or study gram pages) who share your goals, ask that person.
•
Talking to them and learning what bothers you will help you avoid falling into the comparison trap and leading an unhealthy lifestyle.
•
We usually attempt to live our lives through the eyes of others and their standards.
But believe me when I say that if you put that much time and effort into yourself, amazing things can happen, and life will not be so difficult.
•

Mitral valve prolapse
We all know about this condition but sometimes we don’t imagine a full picture regarding why it happens
Mp is mostly caused due to any problems occurring in mitral valve apparatus (leaflets,annular ring ,chordae tendinae,papillary muscles)
There are other conditions as well which causes Mp and you guys can swipe left to check them out.
Mp is mostly asymptomatic but it can show symptoms mainly when it’s complicated.
The main risk of Mp is development of mitral regurgitation and thromboembolism.
Treatment for Mp is mostly supportive but valve repair or transplant can be done if it’s highly damaged.

BASIC CONCEPTS
Why are they important in med school?
•
It’s my final year as a med student and I wanna address this to everyone especially to all the juniors.
•
We all think that just by knowing about the disease and it’s clinical symptoms,it would be more than enough to clear exams but when it comes up in exams it’s too difficult to answer even after preparing for arduous hours and then we end up concluding that the exam was “tough”.
•
Believe me I was the same kind of person but I started to realise I’m not gonna be a medical student for long now I’m gonna be a doctor in the near future.
•
so the thing which helps me out to solve a case out in hospitals are the basic concepts that are now infused in my brain ,which will help me get to a final and correct conclusion.
•
I have struggled alot and still struggling on this part but never quitting.
•
I used to think “why am I memorising all these subjects?” Like anatomy, physiology, biochemistry,microbiology, pathology,Pharma.
But when I started to study internal medicine/surgery then it all those subjects made sense .
•
I regret the fact that I realised it late but it’s never too late to start something new.
•
So to all medical students out there if you feel like skipping these basic subjects or you’re bored to study,then taking this advice is gonna get you through those boring basic subjects.
•
Learning/revising basics is the foundation of your clinical subjects,you’ll also get more Me-time,which is something most of us should get from time to time.
•

Hi there !
Topic : third and fourth heart sounds.
It’s always interesting that a little deviation of hearts physiology may results in many conditions.
One of them is fourth heart sound ,which is always considered as a pathological one.
It’s heard during late filling stage of diastolic phase of ventricles and observed due to restrictions in dilation of ventricles.
One of the conditions like hypertension may results in fourth heart sound production.
It’s auscultated in the apex beat when the person is in later decubitus position.

I know this feeling all too well.
•
We all face this kind of emotions ,we make plans ,some work ,some goes great and some doesn’t.
•
You know what’s worst part of this plans, is that if you don’t follow them for one day than you fall in a loop where you get so comfortable with not having anything to do in a day and this follows for days and than turns into weeks.
•
when you finally try to start again than this emotions of guilt cripples you and you feel like a failure and give up on doing anything (let it be studying, eating healthy or exercise).
•
I face this kind of days as well when I try to start again but the guilt of losing days and lagging behind work just drags me down.
•
one thing which gets me going through this tough days and will help you as well, is that forgive yourself for making those mistakes(like skipping days without studying).
•
you are human you can’t just turn off your thoughts instantly but you can live with them and try not to get affected by them.
•
We often punish ourselves for making those mistakes but we truly never forgive ourselves before starting something new and again we fall in that loop easily cuz human brain never stays quite till you make peace with your thoughts.
•
So This time when you start again make everything more flexible ,be real, be present in that moment and trust me you won’t give up easily this time.
•
Just a reminder be kind and don’t be hard on yourself.
•

I know this feeling all too well , Everyone in their life goes through this phase. Where they try hard and harder but couldn’t make it, either people tend to lose their motivation or just get carried away by distractions around them , Trust me I’m one of them .
•
I have been an A grade student since my school and still wanna do much better in med school as well , I have so many goals in line and want to be a successful doctor (obviously it’s the dream of every med student 🥼).
•
But we humans have this complex mind which attracts negativity or procrastination, which never made anyone happy or Gave a peaceful mind.
•
Sometimes we are productive for a few days and later end up in bed for next days, which turn into weeks . Trust me I’ve been In the same situation.
•
The only the thing that helped me (when I was doubting myself ) to get my things done was developing a confident ,growing mind set.
•
Growing mind set is to be aware of daily habits and make changes accordingly.
•
In my case I use to get distracted easily when I see people being more productive than me which makes me think that my preparation is not ultimately up to the mark and this distraction of comparing myself to others makes me sad and Vulnerable , to get away from this ,all I do is binge watch .
•
So the stuff like these which I realized on my own helps me to be more productive and makes my work a lot easier .
•
so all I’m tryna say is it’s not gonna end in one day or at once ,it’s the lifestyle you gotta change and when you reach the top , you will see that it was you and people who loved you and that’s gonna be the greatest feeling in the world.
•

So As I was trying to figure things out regarding my way of study habits and lifestyle ,I have been MIA from studygram for weeks but anyways I’m back now and let’s do this.
