I have just published a new article on my blog about 100 Art Photography, the international research magazine I conceived, created, and continue to direct with great commitment, both economically and in terms of work and vision.
In this post I explain why I still believe in a biannual visual magazine, both printed and online, dedicated to artists whose work deserves time, context, and thoughtful reading.
I also reflect on what it means today to speak about originality and innovation in contemporary photography. I do not believe it makes sense to dismiss artworks with phrases such as already seen or nothing new. What matters is how artists filter the world through their own language, how they transform experience into form, and how they build a vision that feels necessary.
For me, a research magazine is not a quick showcase.
It is a curatorial choice.
It is a form of commitment.
It is a way of giving images depth, continuity, and meaning.
