Ten years later… and here we are again.
About 10 years ago I cooked for Kelly Carter and her family when the kids were still little. Last night I had the joy of cooking for them again.

Last Thursday night we had 41 people around the table.
15 joined the cooking class and cooked with me in the kitchen,
and another 26 came to enjoy dinner together.
On every placemat I wrote a different Italian quote, so while people were cooking and eating they could also learn a little bit of the language.
We made gnocchi together and shared a four-course Tuscan dinner, with lots of laughter, stories, and hands in the dough.
It’s always amazing to see what happens when people cook together:
they arrive as strangers and leave the table as friends.
This evening is part of “A Tavola – Two Chefs, Two Countries, One Table,”
a collaboration that Chef Lori Eaton and I created to bring a little piece of Italy here and build something special around food and community.

A little behind the scenes from today in Wilmington.
This morning Lori and I visited WECT6 News, where we filmed a segment making fresh pasta from scratch and talking about the Tuscan cooking experiences happening this month at Pine Valley Market.
So fun to share a little piece of Italy with the community.
I’ll be in Wilmington for the month of March hosting pasta classes and Tuscan dinners every Tuesday and Thursday,
and also available for a few private chef dinners while I’m in town.

Last night we kicked off our first Italian cooking class at Pine Valley Market in Wilmington… and what a fun evening it was.
I actually arrived in town just before midnight the night before, and the very next morning we were already driving around Wilmington searching for ingredients for the class. No better way to land back in North Carolina than jumping straight into the kitchen.
There is something special about gathering around a table, making fresh pasta by hand, laughing, learning, and then sharing the meal together.
From flour and eggs… to ravioli, tagliatelle, and a full Tuscan dinner.
This is exactly the kind of experience I love creating — bringing a little piece of Italy to the table.
I’ll be in Wilmington for the month of March and will be hosting cooking classes and special Tuscan dinners at Pine Valley Market every Tuesday and Thursday.
