L' Inglese per bambini - Firenze Consulting, mentoring, guidance for new Esl teachers of Very Young Learners (2-6 years old) and for teachers looking to teach English through Storytelling.

Perché imparare l'inglese giocando? Perché un bambino impari qualcosa è necessario che il metodo di insegnamento sia giocoso e sensato. Un bambino non impara niente se non trova un senso in quello che fa, e il senso per lui non può essere quello dell' apprendimento fine a se stesso. Studiare per imparare, insomma, non è la formula giusta perché un bambino non ha il senso del dovere di un adulto, e

cco perché bisogna indurlo attraverso il gioco. L' apprendimento deve essere un momento di comunicazione e dare al bambino anche un elemento di piacere. Ai bambini piace imparare, li fa sentire grandi. Imparano, però, solo quello di cui sentono necessità. Una lingua straniera, allora? Di quella non hanno bisogno: il loro mondo - i genitori, la tv, i libri se ne leggono - parla in italiano. Per comunicare, quindi, non serve sapere un' altra lingua. Servirà un domani, quando i bimbi di oggi saranno adolescenti e adulti ansiosi di girare il mondo e farsi capire da tutti, per non parlare dell'obbligo di avere un buon livello d'inglese a livello lavorativo. Ed è qui che entra in scena il gioco: Se imparare non è una necessità del bambino l' unico modo per spingerlo a studiare è puntare sul divertimento.
