Some days stay with us forever, because they remind us how meaningful it is to give our time to others. The recent Social Responsibility Day at ST Catania was one of those days: an afternoon filled with emotion, gratitude, authenticity, and a strong sense of sharing.
ST celebrated this special occasion together with invited guests and a large group of colleagues. It was a heartfelt moment of recognition for those who, with generosity and commitment, choose every day to serve their community, and this included of course our ST Foundation volunteers.
Particularly important was the presence on stage of FUTURO21 Association, with which we have partnered for many years to support young people with disabilities. Last but not least, the Director of the Penal Institute for Minors (IPM) of Catania-Bicocca shared a valuable testimony on the importance of “opportunity”, “shared effort”, and our digital training projects connected to correctional institutions.
Volunteering is a meaningful example of social commitment. It provides time and, just as importantly, human connection.
