Over 100 participants from Japan and Iceland came together to learn, connect, and grow.
Theme highlights: social sustainability, gender equality education, nature-based learning, and self-growth.
So grateful for everyone who supported and contributed to this experience. 🌱💛

An amazing group of educators just finished a Tree-Net workshop facilitated by the Tree-Net Man 🌳🕸️.
Hosted by Hjalli Árbær and Ra's Garden, it was full of adventure, excitement, new friendships, and inspiring discussions about outdoor education—along with so many other wonderful interactions. ✨

We hope to continue learning these skills and look forward to welcoming Dan back to Iceland again! 🇮🇸💚

🌿✨ What a journey! ✨🌿

Three amazing groups of students from Bradford College, guided by the inspiring team at Adventures For Students UK and their dedicated teachers, just completed their volunteering and learning program at Hjallastefnan Árbær Preschool. 💚

Over the past weeks, they:
🌱 Helped develop our outdoor learning area
👣 Immersed themselves in our daily routines
🤝 Built genuine connections with the children and staff
🌍 Learned through play and experience
💫 Made friendships that cross borders

Their contribution was beautiful, meaningful, and unforgettable. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and deeply grateful for their open hearts and helping hands.

We can’t wait to see where life takes them next — may this experience stay with them and continue to grow. 💫

Takk fyrir — and see you again someday!

Balancing Power, Purpose, and Progress⚖️

🌍 Our evolving world, particularly in the Global North, women have gained unprecedented freedom and power, achieving levels of equality once thought impossible. We now see women in leadership roles across industries—politics, policymaking, business, entrepreneurship, education, and beyond. While vast parts of the world are still striving for gender equality, there is no doubt that progress has been made.

⚖️However, with power comes responsibility. This blog is not just about celebrating women's leadership but also about recognizing the multiple roles they carry. Women are not only leaders, managers, business owners, and policymakers; they are also mothers, daughters, wives, friends, and caregivers. They juggle numerous responsibilities, often balancing professional success with family and social commitments. A woman can run a company while raising children, manage a school while supporting her parents, or work full-time while being a devoted partner.

❓The question we must ask is: Are our societies truly built to support them?

🤔Are businesses structured to accommodate their unique needs?

🤔Is education designed with their realities in mind?

🤔Do our policies and workplaces ensure that women can thrive in all aspects of their lives without compromising their well-being?

, 💭Over the past few days, I’ve been deeply exploring these questions, particularly regarding education and training tailored for women. This week, I had the opportunity to learn about a business training program designed specifically for women—not just focusing on professional success but also prioritizing their well-being. Developed by a group of inspiring women in Perth, Australia, this initiative goes beyond conventional business education. It acknowledges the realities of women's lives and provides tools that empower them holistically.

⚖️🌍The Connection to Spatial Sustainability
Building the capacity of women isn’t just about personal or professional growth—it’s about the sustainability of our ever changing societies.
