With the internet down and dissent brewing Russia celebrated 9th May in a subdeued mood. Western media reported that Putin seemed to think that Russia would soon get a netgotiated settlement in Ukraine – whereas in his comments he only seemed to think that the collapse of Europe is imminent. Iryna and Jón talk about the the subdued Moscow weekend celebrations during the weekend might actually mean.
