We Need to Talk About the Future of the Kurdish Language 🤝

The Kurdish language is incredibly rich, but is our strict loyalty to our regional dialects holding us back from a unified future? In this video, I introduce the "Sormanji" Project—a new vision for a unified standard Kurdish language. For too long, the mentality has been that everyone must speak their own dialect exclusively. But what if we looked at history for a better way?
We explore why we shouldn't follow the "French Model" (where the capital city forces its dialect on everyone) and why the "English Model" holds the key to our linguistic future. Discover how the English synthesized their language through borrowing, purifying, and compromising—and how Kurmanji and Sorani speakers can do the exact same thing today.
