جامعة الفلوجة تعزز منظومتها الأكاديمية باستحداث كلية الهندسة
في إنجاز أكاديمي نوعي جديد يؤكد الثقة المتزايدة بالجامعة، أعلن السيد رئيس جامعة الفلوجة الأستاذ الدكتور أحمد سليمان حمد المحترم، موافقة وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي على استحداث كلية الهندسة، ابتداءً من العام الدراسي 2026–2027، لتكون الكلية التاسعة ضمن المنظومة الأكاديمية للجامعة.
وقال السيد رئيس الجامعة: "نزف البشرى إلى منتسبي جامعة الفلوجة وأبناء مدينة الفلوجة ومحافظة الأنبار عمومًا باستحداث كلية الهندسة، ونثمّن عاليًا الجهود المخلصة التي أسهمت في استكمال إجراءات الاستحداث وتحقيق هذا المنجز الأكاديمي".
وأعرب السيد رئيس الجامعة عن بالغ شكره وتقديره لوزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، مثمّنًا الدعم الكبير الذي قدّمه معالي وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي وكالةً الدكتور عبد الحسين الموسوي، والمتابعة المباشرة للسيد وكيل الوزارة لشؤون البحث العلمي الأستاذ الدكتور حيدر عبد ضهد، والتي كان لها دور فاعل في استكمال إجراءات استحداث الكلية وإخراج هذا المشروع الأكاديمي إلى النور.
وأضاف سيادته أن استحداث كلية الهندسة يأتي ضمن رؤية الجامعة الرامية إلى تطوير برامجها الأكاديمية وإدخال تخصصات هندسية حديثة تواكب التطورات العلمية والتكنولوجية، وتسهم في رفد مؤسسات الدولة والقطاعين العام والخاص بكفاءات هندسية مؤهلة تمتلك المعرفة العلمية والمهارات التطبيقية اللازمة.
وأوضح السيد رئيس الجامعة أن الكلية ستضم في مرحلتها الأولى قسم الهندسة المدنية وقسم الهندسة الكهروميكانيكية، على أن تتوسع أقسامها وتخصصاتها الهندسية مستقبلًا بما يتلاءم مع احتياجات سوق العمل ومتطلبات التنمية.
وأشار السيد رئيس جامعة الفلوجة الأستاذ الدكتور أحمد سليمان حمد المحترم، إلى أن الجامعة ماضية في تنفيذ خططها التطويرية وفق معايير الجودة والاعتماد الأكاديمي، من خلال استقطاب الكفاءات العلمية المتميزة، وتطوير المختبرات والبنى التحتية التعليمية، وتوفير بيئة جامعية متكاملة تسهم في إعداد خريجين قادرين على المنافسة والإبداع، وتعزيز دور الجامعة في خدمة المجتمع.
ويأتي استحداث كلية الهندسة في إطار دعم مسيرة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، وانسجامًا مع أهداف التنمية المستدامة، ولا سيما الهدف الرابع (التعليم الجيد)، والهدف التاسع (الصناعة والابتكار والهياكل الأساسية).

University of Fallujah Strengthens Its Academic Structure with the Establishment of the College of Engineering
In a new milestone of academic excellence that reflects the growing confidence in the University of Fallujah, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, announced that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has approved the establishment of the College of Engineering, commencing with the 2026–2027 academic year. The new college will become the university’s ninth college within its academic structure.
The University President said: “We are delighted to share the good news with the University of Fallujah community, the people of Fallujah, and the people of Anbar Governorate at large regarding the establishment of the College of Engineering. We highly appreciate the sincere efforts that contributed to completing the establishment procedures and achieving this academic milestone".
The University President expressed his profound thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, commending the substantial support provided by the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Mousawi, as well as the direct follow-up of the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahid, whose efforts played an effective role in completing the procedures for establishing the college and bringing this academic project to fruition.
He added that the establishment of the College of Engineering is part of the university’s vision to develop its academic programs and introduce modern engineering disciplines that keep pace with scientific and technological developments. The college will also contribute to supplying state institutions and both the public and private sectors with qualified engineering professionals equipped with the scientific knowledge and practical skills required by the labor market.
The University President explained that, in its initial phase, the college will comprise the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Electromechanical Engineering, with plans to expand its departments and engineering specializations in the future in line with labor market needs and development requirements.
Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, President of the University of Fallujah, noted that the university is continuing to implement its development plans in accordance with quality assurance and academic accreditation standards by attracting distinguished academic talent, developing laboratories and educational infrastructure, and providing an integrated university environment that contributes to preparing graduates capable of competing, innovating, and enhancing the university’s role in serving the community.
The establishment of the College of Engineering comes within the framework of supporting the advancement of higher education and scientific research, and aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.
