In recognition of our outstanding efforts, we are glad to announce that our chapter, ACI-AUIS Student Chapter secured The Third Place in the Outstanding Student Award 2024 Internationally and First place in Iraq. These achievements reflect the chapter’s dedication to excellence, innovation, and continuous learning in the concrete industry.

On April 1, 2024, ACI-AUIS student chapter was delighted to host a seminar by Dr. Mustafa Alattar about remote sensing applications in engineering. 🛰️🌦️

Dr. Mustafa mentioned the remote sensing’s advantage in engineering and its definition. 🌍

The crucial part of this tool is that it manipulates the sun radiation and it gets scattered to the sensors then it gets analyzed and are eventually processed to images.☀️🗾

‼️ Come and join us for a collaborative seminar between ACI auis chapter and the engineering club at auis on exploring the role of construction chemicals in waterproofing and concrete repair.

➡️ Mr. Ghazwan Dabdab will be the speaker of this seminar; Dabdab is a senior civil engineer, entrepreneur, and business developer, and throughout his career his works played a significant role in Iraq.

A workshop presented by two of AUIS faculty Dr. Ahmed Salih and Dr. Aram Hassan titled by “Concrete Sensing and UHPPFRC” and sponsored by ACI Kurdistan Chapter, ACI AUIS Student Chapter, and ACI UOS Student Chapter at the University of Sulaymaniyah College of Engineering. It was a great opportunity for students to get knowledge about the latest developments in concrete technology in both topics “Enhancing and evaluating the sensitivity, piezoelectricity and mechanical behavior of concrete using synthetic nanomaterials,” by Dr. Ahmed Salih, and “Properties of ultra-high-performance fiber reinforced concrete and their applications” by Dr. Aram Hassan.
We thank ACI Kurdistan Chapter and ACI UOS Student Chapter for such an amazing and beneficial collaboration and we aspire to work more together in future.
