On the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day, the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and IPR Cell of the College organized an extension lecture on April 25, 2026. Dr. Monika Sharma, IPR Coordinator and Innovation Ambassador, was the keynote speaker of the session. The session was presided over by Officiating Principal & IIC President Dr. Surinder Kaur and IIC Convener Mrs. Vivek.
Dr. Monika Sharma elaborated on Intellectual Property Rights, explaining various related laws and key concepts such as patents, copyrights, and trademarks. She encouraged students to protect their ideas and guided them on how to secure intellectual ownership for their products and software models.
The event was successfully coordinated with the support of IIC Vice President Dr. Sunita Kaushik, along with Innovation Ambassadors Ms. Manika Sethi and Mrs. Mamta Thapar.

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of the college in collaboration with the Yamunanagar Unit of Haryana Patrakar Sangh, organized a workshop on “Journalism in the AI & Digital Age: Challenges, Ethics, and Opportunities for Innovation" on April 25, 2026.
Dr. Pradeep Rai, Assistant Professor from Kurukshetra University, was the keynote speaker, while Mr. Narendra Singh, President of the Media Student Association, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was jointly presided over by Officiating Principal & IIC President Dr. Surinder Kaur, IIC Convener Mrs. Vivek, and Mr. Parmesh Kumar, Head, Department of Journalism & Mass Communication.
Dr. Rai emphasized that true media literacy lies in the ability to safeguard oneself from harmful content. Referring to McLuhan’s perspective, he highlighted the growing issue of information overload, the rise of fake news, and the increasing influence of algorithms. He noted that the future of journalism will depend on balancing human judgment with artificial intelligence.
Mr. Narendra Singh stressed that even a single irresponsible word in media can cause significant harm, underlining the need for accountability. He added that public trust in media remains strong, especially in advocating justice for the marginalized.
Dr. Surinder Kaur urged responsible dissemination of information, stating that AI, being a human creation, must be used wisely.
The event was successfully supported by District President Mr. Virender Ajmari, General Secretary Mr. Sanjay Jha, along with Mr. Nawab Khan, Mr. Vinod Bali, former President Mr. Virender Tyagi, and innovation ambassador Mrs. Mamta Thapar.

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of the College organized an Inter-Department Business Plan Presentation Competition on April 24, 2026, to nurture entrepreneurial spirit among students and inspire them to become successful entrepreneurs.
The event was presided over by Officiating Principal & IIC President Dr. Surinder Kaur and IIC Convener Mrs. Vivek, who appreciated the students’ efforts and highlighted that such initiatives enhance creativity and promote self-reliance.
Students from various departments presented innovative business ideas. All ideas were well appreciated by the judges, encouraging students to move towards a startup-driven mindset. The event was successfully coordinated with the support of Ms. Manika Sethi and Mrs. Mamta Thapar.

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of the college celebrated World Creativity & Innovation Day on April 21, 2026, with great enthusiasm and creative spirit. The session was enriched by the presence of esteemed resource persons—Mrs. Parul Singh and Mrs. Manjeet Kaur (Innovation Ambassadors), along with Mr. Vikas Walia (Member, IIC). Their guidance inspired participants to think innovatively and explore their creative potential. A series of engaging activities were conducted to promote creativity and hands-on learning, including:

Traditional Craft Innovation (Block Printing Activity)
Creative Idea Expression (Collage Making Activity)

On April 21, 2026, an Awareness Session on Census was organised by the Legal Literacy Cell of the college. The Municipal Commissioner of Yamunanagar–Jagadhri, Mr. Mahabir Prasad, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was presided over by Officiating Principal Dr. Surinder Kaur.
The session was coordinated by Legal Literacy Cell Convenor Dr. Monika Sharma and Dr. Shikha Saini. The keynote speaker, District Census Officer Mrs. Nidhi Bhatia, highlighted the concept of self-enumeration and informed that, for the first time since independence, a digital census is being conducted. She explained how individuals can use the self-enumeration link on their mobile phones to submit details about themselves and their families. Through videos and live demonstrations, she clearly explained the process and encouraged everyone to spread awareness about this initiative. Regional Officer Mr. Ajay Walia was also present on the occasion.

Institution's Innovation Council of the college organized a session on AI-Powered Solution Expo: Demo Days for AI Prototypes, on April 20, 2026, showcasing creativity and technological excellence among students. Innovation Ambassadors Mrs. Mamta Thapar and Ms. Khushi graced the occasion as the keynote speakers. The event was jointly presided over by Officiating Principal & IIC President Dr. Surinder Kaur and IIC Convener Mrs Vivek.
Resource person Mrs. Mamta Thapar elaborated how ideas can be transformed into real, workable solutions using Artificial Intelligence and students can use smart technologies to solve real-world problems in areas like education, healthcare, industry, and daily life. Ms. Khushi, a final-year BCA student, shared her insights into prototype development and design processes. She explained how tools such as AI platforms, ChatGPT, cloud technologies, and other emerging resources can be effectively used to design innovative prototypes.
During the expo, students Ms. Aarti Chauhan, Ms. Srishti, Ms. Tanu, Ms. Tanya, Ms. Neha, Ms. Sunaina, Ms. Vanshika and Ms. Muskan showcased their prototypes, explained their logic and presented the real-time functionality of their ideas. The event highlighted the students’ creativity, technical understanding, and innovative spirit.

On 18 April 2026, the college organized a sacred Yajna on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Hansraj and the conclusion of the academic session.
The Havan was solemnly conducted by Acharya Dharmendra Shastri, who performed the rituals with proper Vedic chants. Paying heartfelt tribute to Mahatma Hansraj Ji, he remarked that such great personalities not only contribute to their own era but also leave a lasting impact on future generations through their noble deeds. He also blessed the students, encouraging them to work hard and achieve excellent results in their examinations.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ms. Komal Kamboj, accompanied by Dr. Gaurav Kamboj, who graced the ceremony as Yajmans. Other distinguished guests included Mr. Satindra, Sh. Vijay Kapoor, and Smt. Asha Kapoor.
Addressing the students, Ms. Komal Kamboj inspired them by saying that success can be achieved through hard work and self-belief. She urged the students to always honor the trust of their families who have supported their education and to strive to make them proud.
Speaking on the occasion, Vijay Kapoor Ji highlighted that Mahatma Hansraj Ji was a visionary and a great soul who dedicated his entire life to public service. He emphasized that the establishment of D.A.V institutions was a significant step towards promoting education, especially for women, and that Sh. Jagannath Kapoor ji carried forward this noble legacy.
Dr. Surinder Kaur, Officiating Principal extended her blessings to all students, wishing them success in every examination of life. The event concluded on a spiritual and inspiring note, leaving everyone motivated and enriched.

An online Extension lecture on New Education Policy 2020: Structural Reforms” was successfully organized on April 16, 2026 by the FDP Cell and NEP Committee of the College. The session aimed to familiarize teachers with the key features and impact of the policy in the coming session. The program was presided over by Officiating Principal Dr. Surinder Kaur and under the guidance of convenor FDP Cell Dr. Meenakshi Saini and Incharge of NEP Committe Mrs. Nishi.
The distinguished resource person was Prof. Anita Rani Dua, who highlighted the important aspects such as flexibility, skill development, multidisciplinary approach, holistic education and introduction of fourth year.
Teaching and Non Teaching members actively participated, making the session informative and insightful. The organizers concluded the session by expressing gratitude towards the resource person and commitment for the future academic events.
