Holi 2026, the vibrant Hindu "Festival of Colors" marking the end of winter, is celebrated on March 3 or 4, featuring a bonfire (Holika Dahan) on the eve to symbolize the victory of good over evil. Celebrations involve playing with colored powder (gulal) and water, dancing, and eating sweets like gujiya to foster joy, community, and new beginnings.

LAMP LIGHTING AND OATH TAKING CEREMONY
Orangecity Institute of Nursing, Warud, conducted lamp lighting and Oath taking ceremony of their 4th Batch of BSc (Hons) Nursing students & 2nd Batch of GNM Students at Dr.Vinayakrao Godhane Auditorium from 10pm-5pm.
Program started with invocation song by 4th Semester BSc Nursing students. Mr.Sunil Thakare,& Dr.Praful Hole highlighted the significance of the ceremony to nursing students and welcomed the dignitaries and gathering followed by lighting of the inaugural lamp lit by the dignitaries.
All the dignitaries paid the floral tribute to Florence Nightingale and the guest of honor Dr Rajendra R Rajoria,Dr.Godhane,Dr.Monohar Ande,Mr.Anil Gulhane,Mr.Sunil Thakre Dr.Sivanathan Thangavelu Principal Orangecity Institute of Nursing lit the lamp and passed on to senior Nursing professionals to facilitate the lamp lighting of the novice students.
Ms.Anupa Sukalikar & Ms.Simmi Pande Lecturer introduced the guest of honour, Dr Rajendra R Rajoria,Dr.Godhane,Dr.Monohar Ande,Mr.Anil Gulhane,Mr.Sunil Thakre to the audience. Dr Rajendra R Rajoria, in his address said that student by choice or chance join nursing but their future is bright with guarantee employment. Compassion, Commitment, Competence with courage they need to face challenges in their career. He congratulated all students for making right choice of profession
Chief Guest, in his address said that “today onwards this oath which you have taken enhanced your responsibility towards patient care. You are inducted to nursing profession by passing holy lamp by senior nursing professionals. This culture is good one because they passing their experience and blessings with the lamp”.
Programme ended with National anthem. Then all dignitaries joined for photo session and Light refreshment.

Life support training for B.Sc Nursing & GNM Students was conducted during 6th & 7th December 2025 at
Skills & Simulation Lab. The Department of Medical Surgical & Pediatric Skills & Simulation Lab planned the program in advance at Orangecity Institute of Nursing . Students were divided into two
batches and the faculty from the skills lab scheduled to impart the training were informedearlier.
Students were provided with study material for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) ahead of time to enable them to be prepared with the procedures and policies, before the actual
training program.
Students underwent training for 2 days during 6th December 2025 (Batch 1) and 7th December 2025 (Batch 2).
A repeat session was organized for those
students who inadvertently missed the earlier sessions or had obtained less than satisfactory
scores in the evaluation session at the end of the program.

Celebrating Nurses Day 2025 at Orange City Institute of Nursing (OCIN) on 12th May with great pride and gratitude! The event was graced by esteemed guests Ms. Lata Shukla and Ms. Poonam Choudhary, nurses at Subdistrict Hospital Warud, along with our respected Principal Mr. Sivanathan Thangavelu, faculty, staff, and passionate B.Sc. Nursing students.

The program began with the felicitation of guests, followed by inspiring speeches by our guests and students TanVi Atram, Priyanka Rathod, and Payal Virulkar. The event was beautifully anchored by Ms. Sharayu Chidgir, and concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Gayatri Borkar.

Highlights included creative student posters, and a powerful tribute with one student dressed as Florence Nightingale.

This year’s theme: “Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for nurses strengthens economies.”

Orange City Nursing Institute marked World Thalassemia Day with an impactful awareness program conducted by the Orange City Thalassemia Eradication Committee.
In the esteemed presence of Dr. Pravin Thakre (Vice President), Jitendra Shtiya, Mr. Pankaj Lekurwade, Secretary Mr. Akshay Vaidya, and members Yashpal Jain & Mangesh Khairkar, the event saw active participation from Principal Sivanathan Thangavelu and all teaching and non-teaching staff.
A powerful awareness speech was delivered by Dr. Pravin Thakre and student Rushikesh Bhisade and Mr Sameer nandeshwar lecturer orange city nursing institute warud, culminating in a sample collection drive for Thalassemia screening.
