SBM, NMIMS Mumbai was delighted to host the launch of the Mahindra Rise Challenge (MRC) for its students. The event was made even more special with the presence of distinguished alumni, whose inspiring professional journeys served as a source of motivation for our students.

We had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Veejay Nakra, President - Farm Equipment Business, Member of the Group Executive Board, and Joint Managing Director of Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited, who shared inspiring perspectives on the Mahindra Group’s purpose-driven journey, its culture of innovation.

The session was further enriched by Ms. Sakshi Handa,Ms. Delnaz Desai, Ms. Jeslin Joseph, and Mr. Tanay Garg, who introduced students to the Mahindra Rise Challenge, the Mahindra Leaders Programme (MLP), and the exciting career opportunities available within the Mahindra Group.

The session provided students with valuable insights into leadership, talent development, and purpose-driven careers, while offering a deeper understanding of Mahindra’s people philosophy and commitment to nurturing future leaders.

We had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Ajay Chitkara, CEO - Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Business, Bharti Airtel, who shared valuable insights into his Airtel’s journey of innovation, customer-centricity, and digital transformation.

The session was further enriched by Ms. Pallavi Jha from the Human Resource Business Partner team, who introduced students to the Airtel iCreate competition, highlighting its structure, learning opportunities.

This edition of Intern Spotlight features our students who interned with ZEISS, gaining hands-on experience across Business Finance, Risk Management, FP&A, and Supply Chain. Their roles offered a close look at how financial insight and operational planning support a global leader known for precision and innovation.

From budgeting and forecasting to risk evaluation and demand planning, students worked on real business challenges that strengthened their analytical thinking and decision-making skills. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, they learned how structured data and financial discipline drive efficiency, resilience, and long-term strategy.

We sincerely thank ZEISS for mentoring our students and providing an enriching experience that combined financial rigor, operational exposure, and meaningful industry learning.

This edition of the Intern Spotlight series highlights the journeys of our students who interned with GE Aerospace as part of the Digital Transformation Leadership Program (DTLP).

During their internships, they worked across Digital Transformation and Supply Chain Operations, gaining hands-on exposure to ERP systems, enterprise data, and portfolio governance. From driving ServiceNow SPM adoption to building scalable frameworks and workflows, our students contributed to impactful, large-scale digital initiatives.
