On World Book Day, the corridors of Sunbeam College for Women echoed with a different kind of lesson — one of compassion, sharing, and hope.

To honor the power of reading, our students and faculty stepped beyond the campus to organize a *Book Donation Drive for underprivileged children*. For many of these young learners, a storybook is a luxury, and a library feels like a distant dream. Financial barriers, lack of infrastructure, and limited access often stand between a child and the world that books can open.

So we decided to bridge that gap.

Armed with bundles of story books, picture books, and educational resources, our volunteers set out to put dreams into small hands. But we didn’t stop at books. Knowing that hungry minds can’t flourish, our students also distributed nutritious food items to nourish both body and spirit.

The most magical moments came when our volunteers sat in circles with the children, bringing stories alive through expressive storytelling. With every page turned and every character voiced, we watched hesitation turn into wonder, and silence into laughter. In those moments, we weren’t just donating books — we were planting the love for reading.

This pious initiative was guided with care by our faculties, whose vision turned intention into impact.

Faculty of Science and Technology, under the aegis of IQAC and IIC, successfully organized “AI Prompt Innovators” — an AI-based activity under Aavishkar 2026.

_Strengthening Democracy with Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam 2023_

The Women’s Reservation Act 2023 mandates 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies, marking a landmark reform for political inclusion.

In support, Sunbeam College for Women, Bhagwanpur, conducted an awareness program and signature campaign. The campaign was joined by Respected Chairperson Dr. Deepak Madhok, Vice Chairperson Ms. Bharti Madhok, Administrative Head Ms. Sarita Rao, Principal Dr. Saurabh Sen, and Academic Advisor Dr. Vibha Srivastava along with students. All actively participated, pledging support for greater representation and leadership of women in governance.

The initiative reinforces the message: political empowerment of women is key to an equitable and progressive society.
