On Friday a discussion session was held on the legality of the RTI Amendment Bill 2019 and its consequences.
The discussion was conducted in law faculty BHU where students participated actively and hence it continued our objective of making this discussion a weekly sport in the college.

On Saturday a discussion was held on the legality of removing Kashmir from its special status, and the move of making it a union territory as an example of assymeteric federalism rising in the country.
The discussion was conducted in law faculty BHU.
Previously a discussion on "The triple talaq law or the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights On Marriage) Act, 2019" was held.
So conducting these discussions on legal issues in the country and making it a weekly sport in the faculty, is the motive behind this effort. Defendants have preferred to file a Review Petition before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of Newgarth against its judgment in the matter of 'The People v. Speluncean Explorers'. In the said case, the defendants were found guilty on the charges of murder and were sentenced to death. The 5 judge bench, after hearing the arguments on Review Petition, has listed the matter for judgment on 3rd April 2019. The bench comprises of CJ. Nilotpal Rai, Rituraj Ranjan, Manishankar, Jhanvi Tripathi, Prajwal Shukla, JJ.

It may seem to be an articulation of equality that transcends caste, but the 'economic criterion' simply allows upper caste groups to monopolise state power – something that the reservation scheme was meant to counter.
