Remembering you every day and every moment Annu is the least I can do for all you did during your lifetime. Your contribution to the family and the Bhanap community is remembered by many besides me.
For the last 44 years, every day of the year and every moment of the day, you have been with me in spirit though not in person. I miss you every day and moment. It must have been difficult for you to leave us and go. You lived your life for others having served on every institution of our community and never clamoured for any post or recognition. Even having had so many accomplishments whether in service of the Chitrapur Math, the Kanara Sarawat Association, the Grant Road Local Sabha, the Western Railway Sports Club, the Railway Employees Union and many more institutions which you were associated with, you yet humbly uttered the last words "Maj miti kaslay koruk jaini (English Translation - I have not been able to do anything worthwhile). I am sure that your presence would probably have trained me in being as humble as you because I know I could never be humbler than you. Though I would never want you to leave me and go I am sure even God could not resist the temptation of having such a worthy soul with him at the earliest and so took you away from me. It is said that God always takes away the people he loves; maybe he loved you more than we could and so took you away so early.
When I meet people who have in some way been associated with you and they ask "Tu Raghuviragalo Chalo Nhave? Tuka Palayleki Kalta" it gives me immense joy. People being able to remember your facial features even after 44 Years of not seeing you is something only you could manage. You have disproved the adage - Out Of Sight Is Out of Mind.
Whenever I am faced with a challenge I remember your advice "Sukh Devala Sangave, Dukh Devasi Magave" (Always share your joy with God. Pray to Him to give you challenges) Though I did learn (though to a miniscule level) to live it from seeing you lead your life, I must admit that I needed you to be there to guide and prod me on how to actually live it every moment.
I know you give it me even without my asking, but I will still ask you to bless me to be able to be like you, someone who loved others more than yourself.
I also know you would be very happy where you are because being close to Lord Shri Bhavanishankar and the Guruparampara was what always made you happy and that is where you are today.
MISS YOU EVERY MOMENT ANNU. I KNOW THAT FOR A LIFE YOU LED IN THIS PHYSICAL WORLD; TODAY YOU WILL BE NOWHERE BUT IN HEAVEN AND YOUR ATMA WOULD HAVE ATTAINED MOKSH. THIS AND ONLY THIS THOUGHT GIVES ME THE COURAGE TO BEAR THE LOSS
I am also putting up the memoir written by Mavinkurve Gopalmaam (Dada Mavinkurve) 40 years ago; where he has spoken about the loss not only to us but the community too. I AM PROUD OF YOU ANNU
