Dear Fellow Navodayans,

Trust you all and your families are doing well.

First of all many thanks for your support in covid support campaign we ran earlier this year.

Today we received a request from JNV school administration to arrange 5 digital devices for financially weak but bright students who are struggling under current online education mode in covid era.

We will work with the School administration and ensure the support reaches to right hands. Here are quick thoughts on this and will appreciate quick responses.

1. We are looking at existing govt schemes under which we can get help to these students. We have reached out to distt administration for advice but if someone is aware of such a scheme, please let us know.

2. We will appreciate it if you have an old digital device (smartphone, tablet or a laptop) for donation. We can look at options of minor repairs if needed.

3. It will be great if you can check with your company or employer to see if they have a scheme to donate old company devices to needy children? We will be happy for them to feature them and our publications etc.

4. We may end up purchasing new phones soon, so you can donate ₹ 100, ₹ 200 or ₹ 500 whatever you wish to keep such noble efforts going.

We are not asking for a big sum of donations at this point of time - “ बूँद बूँद से सागर भरता है l”.

Transparency, consensus and collaborations are the key things for any such initiative.

JNV Una Alumni goes extra mile to help una administration, arranges 3 oxygen concentrators from UK based charity the International Association for Human Values (IAHV).

The alumni association has donated the life saving equipment and items in the past month to 5 hospitals in Una.

Special thanks to Sheetal Mohan Sharma (UK) for his continuous efforts and guidance.

Under the guidance of JNV Una Alumni Mr. Sheetal Mohan Sharma (2nd Batch Pass Out, based out in UK), the covid support supplies were donated by JNV Una Alumni Association yesterday, at 5 CHCs in Una Distt

4. CHC Gagret and
5. CHC Daulatpur Chowk.

Many thanks to everyone involved in ground and for support.

Thank you all who donated for this task as without funds good intents don't work. We assure you every rupee is well spent.

Task is still not done. We have other plans and projects in pipeline, for which we need everyone to be part of it and contribute in any means possible.

We are planning to play Cricket Match at JNV Pekhubela,Una on 24.01.21 (Sunday), interested people can give their names before 22.01.21 to people mentioned below.

Girls are also invited, they can play some other games like volleyball, basketball, TT or even cricket 🏏.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Una Send a message to learn more

On behalf of JNV Una Alumni Association, on 13.12.20 (Sunday), we are going to organise a drive to collect and distribute old and non-used warm cloths to needy people.

This will include dresses, jackets, sweaters, bottoms, blankets, quilt, shoes, slippers etc.

We'll finalize one date in next week and distribute all the collected things to the needy people in Una and nearby areas.

We are having 2 separate teams working at Una and Amb.

Any Alumni leaving in Bangana can come forward to make a separate team for Bangana and we can plan the same drive there also. Or they can contribute in Una team as well.

Good morning,

JNV Samiti is asking all the JNVs to contact their alumni and involve them in JNV activities and present them as JNV's face in the society.

Therefore JNV Samiti has launched a Google form to collect the data of all the alumni.

But we (JNV Una, Alumni) already have the similar form from last 4 years, and data collected through that form helped JNV Una administration to fill the Samiti form instantly.

So far 550 alumni have filled that form.

Request everyone to share this form with maximum navodiyans so that atleast 1500 entries should go from JNV Una.

This form should be filled by everyone from 1994 pass out to 2020 pass out.

Tara Singh Sandhu (JNV Una 2002 batch pass out) donated ₹ 50,000/- and cloths in marriage of an under previlege family's daughter in Bangana, Una.

Also this year it's a big occasion as we are celebrating silver jubilee of our first batch pass out (25 years, 1994 to 2019).

It'll be an interactive meet with ideas from all the alumni invited for fruitful working of our association and we are also going to start scholarship program for deserving students by paying their JNV monthly fee.
