📢 International Day of Mathematics 2026 Celebration
The Department of Mathematics & IQAC, Uluberia College, in collaboration with OmDayal Group of Institutions, successfully organized the celebration of International Day of Mathematics 2026 on 14th March at Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar Auditorium.
🔹 Session I
The programme commenced with an inaugural song by Birangana Naskar and Sneha Ghosh, followed by the felicitation of distinguished guests. We were honoured to have our respected Principal, Dr. Lipika Mandal, along with Dr. Debasish Pal, former Principal of Uluberia College, and other distinguished academicians and faculty members.
The highlight of the session was the invited lecture by Dr. Shubhabrata Das (Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Presidency University, Kolkata) on “Curvature and the Isoperimetric Inequality – A Relationship Since Antiquity,” which was both insightful and enriching.
🔹 Session II
The second session featured a Poster Presentation on the theme “Mathematics & Hope” and a Debate Competition on “Mathematics: Limits learning rather than encouraging it.”
We were privileged to have our esteemed jury members:

Dr. Poulomi Das (Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, OmDayal Group of Institutions), and

The events showcased creativity, critical thinking, and enthusiastic participation from students.
