In 2017, CIRHS conducted two courses titled 'Do we know India?'. This year, we are offering a course on 'the caste system'.
The deadline for registration is 5 June 2018 and there are only 12 seats available for the course.

CIRHS will be part of a workshop on Caste System Studies on 18th Feb, 2018 in Bangalore.

The focus of the workshop will be (a) the recent book on caste published by Palgrave Macmillan (Western Foundations of the Caste System. Editors: Martin Fárek., Dunkin Jalki., Sufiya Pathan and Prakash Shah) and (b) the project led by Prakash Shah and CIRHS, titled Designed to fail? Foundations of the laws on caste in India, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and the United Nations. The workshop will explore the way students at Aarohi have explored the idea of the caste system in their research in humanities.
