The Graduation Day, Sadakathullah Appa College – 09.03.2024
The Graduation Day of Sadakathullah Appa College (Autonomous) was held ceremoniously on 09 March, 2024 at 6.30 p.m. Nine hundred and sixty four candidates who belong to the 2019-2022 Batch received their Degrees from the Honourable Chief Guest of the grand occasion, Prof. P.K. Abdul Azis, Former Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh.
The Proceedings of the ceremony began with Qirath by Dr. S. A. Mohamed Rafeek, Assistant Professor of Arabic. Principal Dr. S. M. Abdul Kader welcomed the guests and the gathering. Honourable Secretary of the College Managing Committee, Alhaj T.E.S Fathu Rabbani Sahib offered Felicitations. President of the College Managing Committee, Alhaj. Wavoo. S. Seyed Abdur Rahman, Honourable Members of the College Managing Committee, Alhaj. M.K.M. Mohamed Nazar, Er. L.K.M.A. Muhammad Nawab Hussain, Alhaj. P.S.M. Ilyas and Prof. S. Abubucker were also present at the Ceremony.
Prof. P.K Abdul Azis while delivering the Graduation Day Address in a vivacious manner, praised and congratulated the College Managing Committee for their tremendous guidance and support behind the effective functioning of the Institution. "The College has been in safe hands, and it will be in the same safe hands for the years to come," he remarked while heaping praise on the College Managing Committee. During his address, he pointed out the transformation of the students from being without any responsibilities to becoming a responsibile citizens. Now, they have to contribute to the growth of the Nation he added. He insisted that the Graduates should not stop with this achievement and they should register for higher studies and research. By undertaking quality research, the development and growth of this Nation in the fields of Science and Technology can be ensured. He also pointed out that, Former Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru founded the Technological Infrastructure of our Nation after Independence. He also recalled with diligence, the contributions of Former Prime Minister, Shrimathi Indira Gandhi, Agricultural Scientist, Thiru M.S Swaminathan and Chairman of the National Knowledge Commission, Thiru Sam Pitroda in taking our Nation to the next-level in various realms. He insisted that the Graduates should work together in teams beyond religious, cultural and borders, to take the Nation in a Growth Trajectory. He applauded the Institution’s remarkable feats in the Golden Jubilee Year such as NAAC Reaccreditation with A++ Grade(3.56 CGPA), Rank Band 151-200 in NIRF Rankings and the Extension of Autonomous Status up to 2033. He requested the College Managing Committee to guide the Faculty of the Institution to introduce New Programmes and develop research infrastructure of the Institution. He concluded his speech by remarking Reading and Quality Research Publications are Passports for the better career of every Graduate. Dr. A. Shakul Hamid, Head of the Department of Computer Science, submitted the report of the candidates who did not receive the Degrees. Dr. S. Mahadevan, Head of the Department of Tamil was the Master of the Ceremony.
