ജലഗുണ നിലവാരം മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്താൻ ജലപരിപാലന പദ്ധതിയുമായി നഗരസഭയോടൊപ്പം ശ്രീ വ്യാസ എൻ എസ് എസ് കോളേജും

വടക്കാഞ്ചേരി : കുടിവെള്ളം പൂർണ്ണമായും സംരക്ഷിക്കുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യം മുൻനിർത്തി വടക്കാഞ്ചേരി നഗരസഭ ജല പരിപാലന പദ്ധതി ആവിഷ്കരിക്കുന്നു.അമൃത് മിത്ര പദ്ധതിയിലൂടെ വടക്കാഞ്ചേരി ശ്രീ വ്യാസ എൻ എസ് എസ് കോളേജുമായി ചേർന്ന് കുടുംബശ്രീ- ദേശീയ നഗര ഉപജീവന മിഷൻ മുഖേനയാണ് പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നത്. പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി നഗരസഭ പ്രദേശത്തെ 9000 കിണറുകളിലെ വെള്ളം പരിശോധിക്കും. കുടുംബശ്രീ വനിതകളെ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ശാസ്ത്രീയ പരിശോധകൾ നടത്തി വരും ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ ജല പരിപാലനം കൂടുതൽ കാര്യക്ഷമമാക്കാനാണ് നഗരസഭ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത്.

പദ്ധതിയോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് എല്ലാ വാർഡുകളിലും മഴ അളക്കുന്നതിനായി മഴ മാപിനി സംവിധാനവും ഏർപ്പെടുത്തും. ഇത് പദ്ധതിയുടെ തുടർ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്ക് വലിയൊരു മുതൽകൂട്ടാകും.കുടിവെള്ളം ഏറ്റവും നന്നായി സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനായി പൊതു കിണറുകളും സ്വകാര്യ കിണറുകളും വൃത്തിയായി സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള നടപടികൾ സ്വീകരിച്ചു .പദ്ധതിയുടെ ആദ്യഘട്ട പ്രവർത്തനത്തിൻ്റെ ഭാഗമായി 84 വനിതകൾക്ക് ജല ഗുണനിലവാര പരിശോധന പരിശീലനം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. വ്യാസ കോളേജിൽ നടന്ന പരിശീലന പരിപാടി ഗ്രൗണ്ട് വാട്ടർ വിഭാഗം ബോർഡ്‌ മെമ്പർ വർഗീസ് തരകൻ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു.വ്യാസ കോളേജ് പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ ഡോ. വി കെ ശ്രീനിവാസ് അധ്യക്ഷനായി. നഗരസഭാ സ്റ്റാൻഡിങ് കമ്മിറ്റി ചെയർമാന്മാരായ എം ആർ അനൂപ് കിഷോർ, പി ആർ അരവിന്ദാക്ഷൻ,മുനിസിപ്പൽ സെക്രട്ടറി കെ കെ മനോജ്‌ തുടങ്ങിയവർ സംസാരിച്ചു.

വ്യാസ കോളേജ് കെമിസ്ട്രി വിഭാഗo അധ്യാപിക ഡോ. നിഷ നന്ദകുമാർ പദ്ധതിയെ കുറിച്ച് വിശദീകരിച്ചു.മുനിസിപ്പൽ എഞ്ചിനീയർ സുജിത് ഗോപിനാഥ് ,നഗരസഭ അമൃത് ഓവർസീയർ വൈഷ്ണവ് വി,ദേശീയ നഗര ഉപജീവന ദൗത്യം സിറ്റി മിഷൻ മാനേജർ വിബിത ബാബു, തൊഴിലുറപ്പ് ഓവർസിയർ ബിന്ദു എന്നിവർ പരിശീലന പരിപാടിക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നൽകി.
തുടർന്ന് ജല പരിശോധന വിഭാഗത്തിൽ അധ്യാപകരായ നിമJ ശങ്കർ , അനലിസ്റ്റ് ശ്രീമതി ഗോപിക എന്നിവരുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ പരിശീലനം നൽകി.

The national seminar organized by the Department of History at Sri Vyasa NSS College, titled "Nature, Culture, and Sustainability: Insights from Indian Knowledge Systems in Environmental History," provided a platform for thought-provoking discussions. Held on March 14, 2025, this national seminar aimed to examine the rich heritage of Indian traditional knowledge in addressing modern environmental challenges. Research papers were presented at this seminar from various parts of the country.
The inaugural session commenced at 10:30 AM with a prayer. Mrs. Noorjahan Majeed, Convener and Head of the Department of History, welcomed the gathering. Principal-in-charge Dr. Dhanya MM delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of examining historical perspectives on environmental sustainability.
Dr. Vijaya Ramdas M, Assistant Professor from Hyderabad University, formally inaugurated the seminar and delivered the inaugural address. He emphasized the importance of understanding the symbiotic relationship between nature and culture as reflected in ancient Indian texts and practices.
IQAC Coordinator Unnikrishnan K offered felicitations, acknowledging the department's efforts in organizing such a relevant seminar. Guest Lecturer Mohammed Ajmal concluded the inaugural session with a vote of thanks.
The technical session, which began at 1:30 PM, provided a platform for in-depth discussions and presentations. Mrs. Noorjahan Majeed once again welcomed the participants. Dr. Sreeparvathi D, Associate Professor from Government College, Thrissur, chaired the session, guiding the discussions and ensuring a productive exchange of ideas. The session examined various aspects of Indian knowledge systems related to environmental conservation and sustainable practices. Mohammed Ajmal concluded the technical session with a vote of thanks.
The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from scholars, faculty members, and students from various institutions.
