Today we are celebrating 193rd birthday of the genius - -
(Birthday special - 13 June)
Maxwell is best known for his formulation of electromagnetic theory. Unfortunately his work is less famous than that of the other greats because his crowning glory, the Maxwell Equations, are so hard to understand.
The great kept 3 pictures on his study wall in which one, was of Maxwell. Einstein described Maxwell's work as the "most profound and the most fruitful that physics has experienced since the time of ". When he visited the University of Cambridge in 1922, he was told by his host that he had done great things because he stood on Newton's shoulders; Einstein replied: "No I don't. I stand on the shoulders of Maxwell." According to Einstein,
“One scientific epoch ended and another began with ."

🇺🇸 🖋️ Benjamin Franklin, an American polymath, was recognized for his various contributions as a writer, scientist, printer, statesman, entrepreneur, publisher, and political philosopher. His curiosity and intellectual pursuits led him to explore the correlation between electricity and lightning in the mid-1740s. This curiosity blossomed into a series of groundbreaking electrical experiments conducted over nearly a decade.
🌩️ 🧠 On a stormy day in June 1752, armed with nothing more than a homemade kite constructed from a large silk cloth and a h**p string, Franklin and his son embarked on an adventurous scientific endeavor. An additional silk string secured a house key, a Leyden jar, and a sharp metal wire. The Leyden jar, a predecessor of the modern capacitor, was a rudimentary device that could store an electric charge. Franklin was eager to see if the house key, subjected to the elements, would attract an electrical charge from the storm, thereby demonstrating the electrical essence of lightning.
🏆 👏🏻 Franklin’s audacious experiment was a success. He detailed the events of the experiment in a letter to a friend, which was later published in the Pennsylvania Gazette on October 19th of the same year. The following year, in recognition of his innovative experiments and observations on electricity, Franklin was awarded the esteemed Copley Medal by the Royal Society.

Today is June 16. We are celebrating the father's day!
Let's remember the fathers of physics - -
The title "fathers of physics" goes to the three great minds :- Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton, and Albert Einstein.
Let's take a glance :-
1. , an Italian mathematician, astronomer & physicist, earned the title ‘Father of Physics’ due to his significant contributions to the field of physics and his pioneering work in the development of the scientific method. His theories and concepts formed the base for the laws of Motion and Theory of Relativity. Wikipedia says him the father of - observational astronomy, modern-era classical physics, the scientific method and modern science.
2. Sir .....

Where to aim at a moving fighter, from a USAAF training manual. This page explains in layman's terms how the relative speeds of the bomber and target aircraft must be considered when aiming. Rather than aim in front, as you typically would when you are stationary and leading a target, you must aim slightly behind, as your bullets will retain the forward motion of your aircraft as they travel. 👇

This Day in Science History - -
(June 09 - Einstein's first paper of his year was published)
119 years ago, between March and September 1905, the mailbox of the German scientific journal "Annales der Physik", the world’s premier physics journal at the time, received four papers that would forever change the laws of physics and, ultimately, our conception of reality: of light, of matter, of time, and of space. The author was a young man aged 26, , who worked as a clerk at the patent office in Bern (Switzerland).
On March 17, Einstein completed the first of this remarkable series. Received by the journal on March 18, and published on June 9, the paper was titled ‘Über einen die Erzeugung und Verwandlung des Lichtes betreffenden heuristischen Gesichttspunkt’ ("On a heuristic point of view concerning the generation and conversion of light"). This paper was the first shot in the revolution. In this paper Einstein framed, unambiguously, the hypothesis that light in its interaction with matter behaves like a particle with a discrete amount or `quantum' of energy proportional to its frequency. Sixteen years later, this theory of the effect would take Einstein to the summit of science when, in 1921, he received the for Physics.
