पी. एम. श्री तिमी सरकारी वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक पाठशालामा आज बिहानको प्रार्थना प्राङ्गणमा '३५औँ नेपाली भाषा मान्यता दिवस २०२६'-बारे विद्यार्थी माझ जानकारी गराउन हेतु भाषाप्रेमी तथा भाषा आन्दोलनकारीहरूको लामो सङ्घर्ष र योगदानको स्मरण गर्दै छोटो छरितो रूपमा कार्यक्रम आयोजना गरियो। पाठशाला उप- प्राचार्य महोदया श्रीमती प्रमिला बस्नेत एवं महोदय श्री डी. पी. शर्माको प्रमुखतामा रहेको तथा शिक्षक इन्द्रलाल ढकालद्वारा सञ्चालन गरिएको उक्त कार्यक्रममा आदरणीय वरिष्ठ शिक्षिका श्रीमती गंगा कुमारी शर्माले नेपाली भाषा मान्यता आन्दोलन एवं भाषा सङ्ग्रामीहरूको त्याग र बलिदानबारे आफ्नो छोटो सम्भाषण राख्नुभयो। विद्यार्थी भाइबहिनीहरूमा भाषा तथा साहित्य सृजनाप्रति अभिरुचि जगाउन हेतु केही शिक्षक साथै विद्यार्थीहरूबाट आफ्ना स्वरचित कविता वाचन गरियो भने खुबै रङ्गरसका साथ गीत, नृत्य आदि पनि विद्यार्थीहरूद्वारा प्रस्तुत गरियो। क्रमैले कार्यक्रमको अन्तिममा कार्यक्रम प्रमुख श्री शर्माले कार्यक्रमको निष्कर्षका रूपमा धन्यवाद ज्ञापन साथै नेपाली भाषा र मान्यता आन्दोलनबारे विद्यार्थी नानीहरूका निम्ति संक्षिप्त रूपमा थप कुरा बताइ सो कार्यक्रम विसर्जन गरियो।

PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School, Temi, observed Swachhata Pakhwada with active participation from students and staff. The programme began with a morning speech by an NSS Volunteer highlighting the importance of cleanliness and personal hygiene, followed by a Swachhata Pakhwada pledge taken by all students and staff.

Principal Mrs. Jyothsna Bhutia emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment and urged everyone to keep their classrooms and school premises neat and hygienic.

Following the programme, a cleanliness drive was conducted within the school premises, led by the ECO Monitors, with enthusiastic participation from the students. The activity promoted awareness, responsibility and community participation towards cleanliness.

The Swachhata Pakhwada programme will continue for 15 days with various cleanliness and awareness activities.

"Happy 80th Independence Day 2026"

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School, Temi, with great enthusiasm. The programme was chaired by the SMC Chairman, Shri P. B. Gurung, with Shri B. M. Timsina as the Special Guest. The Principal, Smt. Jyothsna Bhutia, along with staff and students, was present.

The programme began with the flag hoisting ceremony followed by the National Anthem and a rendition of Vande Mataram, creating a patriotic atmosphere.

The Principal spoke on the significance of Independence Day and the role of students in nation-building, followed by an address by the Chairman.
Students also presented their speech on Independence Day.

Students presented a cultural dance performance showcasing India’s heritage. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Suman Rai, expressing gratitude to all present.

Sweets were distributed among students and staff.

The celebration ended on a patriotic and joyful note, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and unity.

79th Independence day 2025

Date: Saturday, 1 August 2026
PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School, Temi, observed the weekly Bagless Day as per the guidelines of the Education Department. The objective of the programme was to promote experiential learning, creativity, life skills, and joyful education beyond the classroom.
During the first session, students actively participated in gardening and bamboo fencing activities. The Principal, Mrs. Jyotshna Bhutia, gave special priority to the primary students by providing colourful origami papers. Under the guidance of teachers, the children created beautiful 3D origami models of frogs, rabbits, birds, dogs, and other figures, making learning enjoyable and creative.
During the second session, an exciting Football Tournament was organised among the different Houses and classes. The event encouraged sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, physical fitness, and healthy competition among the students.
The Bagless Day programme provided students with opportunities to develop practical skills, creativity, confidence, leadership qualities, and cooperation through hands-on activities and sports. The day concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers, making learning meaningful, enjoyable, and memorable.

An Inter-Class Football Tournament was organised at PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School, Temi, to promote sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy competition among students.

The tournament began with a girls' match between Team Sanglamu and Team Bharosha, in which Team Sanglamu emerged victorious. The second match saw Class XI Boys defeat Class IX Boys by 2-1 after an exciting contest. In the final match, Class XII Boys defeated Class X Boys 4-2 in a penalty shootout after a closely contested game.

The winning teams have advanced to the next stage. The next match will be played on Friday between Class XI Boys and Class XII Boys.

The tournament successfully encouraged teamwork, discipline, fair play and active participation among the students.

PM SHRI Temi Senior Secondary School has introduced Eco Monitors from Primary to Senior Secondary levels under the PM SHRI initiative to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices.

The programme aims to develop responsible students who contribute to a clean, green and eco-friendly school environment by encouraging care for cleanliness, resource conservation, waste management, plantation and biodiversity protection.

A modified Eco Monitor batch has been formed with representation from all classes to ensure wider participation. Students are selected based on interest and leadership qualities and work under teacher guidance.

Eco Monitors are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, promoting waste segregation, conserving water and electricity, encouraging plantation, reducing plastic use and spreading environmental awareness.

The initiative is expected to improve cleanliness, develop leadership skills, increase greenery and promote sustainable habits, supporting the school’s progress towards a Green and Sustainable PM SHRI School.

Overall, the Eco Monitor programme helps students become environmentally responsible citizens and young ambassadors of sustainability.

A sanitary napkin distribution programme was conducted after the morning assembly at PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School, Temi, Namchi District. The initiative was organized under the "Bahini" programme launched by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang (P.S. Golay).
Sanitary napkins were distributed to the girl students with the aim of promoting menstrual hygiene, improving health and well-being and creating awareness about the importance of proper menstrual care. The programme also encouraged students to break the stigma surrounding menstruation and emphasized the need for maintaining personal hygiene.
