The Department of Mechanical Engineering congratulates Dr. Pankaj Kumar for successfully organizing a Guest Lecture on

“Manufacturing and Automation and Its Industrial Applications” delivered by Prof. Velagapudi Vasu.

Dr. V. Vasu is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, and currently serves as the Director, School of Smart Manufacturing at NAMTECH, an initiative by ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel.

The program was attended by the Head of the Department and faculty members, and the students of the Mechanical Engineering Department participated with great enthusiasm, actively interacting with the guest speaker. Mr. Mannu Das, Senior Manager, NAMTECH, also graced the occasion. Prof. Deepak Garg Garu appreciated the gathering and the successful conduct of the event.

Orientation Program | Department of Mechanical Engineering, SR University

The Orientation Program of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SR University was successfully conducted on 5 January 2026. All faculty members actively attended the program, and students participated with great enthusiasm.

The program began with the address by Dr. Pulla Sammaiah, Dean Research, followed by inspiring talks from Senior Professor Dr. Pankaj Kumar, Head of the Department Dr. Kumar Sourav and Associate Head Dr. S***a Rao Medabalimi, who encouraged students to develop a scientific approach in their classes and to improve their CGPA in the upcoming semester.

After the inauguration, an informative PPT presentation was delivered to brief students about academics and departmental activities. A group photograph with students and faculty was also taken.

Overall, the orientation program was a wonderful and motivating experience for everyone involved.
