ZEO Tangmarg expresses profound grief over the sad demise of Abdul Majid Sheikh, father of Sheikh Irshad, Teacher at GMS Mughalpora. The deceased was a pious, religious, and highly respected personality, and a retired police official who earned admiration through his humility, integrity, and service to society.

The ZEO and the entire education fraternity of Tangmarg extend their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray for eternal peace to the departed soul.

May Almighty Allah grant Abdul Majid Sheikh the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and bless the family with patience, strength, and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen.

Tangmarg, April 22: The In-charge Zonal Education Officer Tangmarg, Mr. Zaffar Iqbal Lone, accompanied by Zonal Planning Officer Mr. Zahoor Ahmad Malik, conducted an extensive visit to several schools across the zone to assess academic progress, infrastructural development, and overall functioning of the institutions.

During the visit, the officers inspected Middle School Nadirgund, where they reviewed the proposed plan for the construction of a new school building and visited the site for selection of suitable land. They emphasized the importance of providing quality infrastructure to create a better learning environment and directed the concerned authorities to expedite the necessary formalities.

Mr. Zaffar Iqbal Lone interacted warmly with the students, encouraging them to remain focused on their studies and strive for excellence. He also appreciated the sincere efforts and commitment of the teaching staff in maintaining academic standards and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
The officials further visited Primary School Darishpora, where they engaged with students and teachers, taking stock of the educational activities and motivating students to actively participate in academics and co-curricular pursuits.

The visit reflects the department’s continued commitment towards strengthening the education system and ensuring holistic development of students across the Tangmarg zone.

Subject: Welcome Arrangements for Reopening of Schools (Classes 1st to 8th)
NOTICE
It is hereby informed that all students of Classes 1st to 8th shall resume their classes w.e.f. 09-03-2026 after the Winter Break.
All Heads of Institutions (HOIs) are directed to make necessary arrangements to warmly welcome the students on their return to school. The reopening day should be organized in a joyful and child-friendly manner so that students feel happy, motivated, and comfortable as they begin their academic activities again.
Schools are encouraged to arrange activities such as:
• Welcoming students with flowers
• Distribution of sweets
• Decorations and small surprises to make the day special
It is worth mentioning that all the teachers of Zone Tangmarg are highly dedicated and hardworking, and their sincere efforts play a vital role in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment for the students.
All institutions must ensure that the reopening day becomes a delightful, encouraging, and memorable experience for our children.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all my respected and beloved teachers. You have consistently performed your duties with sincerity, integrity, and unwavering dedication. Your tireless efforts in your respective schools, your commitment to the proper upbringing and character-building of our students, and especially your remarkable contribution in the academic field are truly commendable and praiseworthy.

As you are aware, after two months of vacation, our schools are reopening today. Teachers are resuming their duties, and students are expected to attend from the 1st of this month. The period from the 20th to the 1st involves several important academic and administrative tasks. I am confident that, as always, you will complete these responsibilities with seriousness, discipline, and a strong sense of commitment.

It is my sincere aspiration that, Insha’Allah, this year Zone Tangmarg will secure a distinguished position in every educational sphere and activity. We must strive for excellence and ensure that we do not lag behind in any respect. I have full faith in my teachers—you are capable, intelligent, hardworking, and deeply dedicated professionals. One more luminary stalwart of the teaching fraternity has retired from the Education Department as Senior Teacher Mr. Bashir Ahmad Lone, resident of Chandilora, Tangmarg, attained superannuation after rendering decades of remarkable, devoted, and commendable service. A sincere, honest, and committed educator, he remained throughout his illustrious career a shining example of integrity, discipline, and unwavering dedication to the intellectual and moral grooming of young minds.
At the time of his retirement, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Lone was serving as the Headmaster of Government Middle School Chandil Nargisbag, Tangmarg, where his visionary leadership, academic excellence, and administrative acumen left a deep and lasting imprint on students, colleagues, and the institution as a whole.
The In-charge, Zonal Education Officer Tangmarg, along with the Principal, Higher Secondary School Chandilora, Mr. Zafar Iqbal Lone, while paying rich tributes to the retiring educationist, stated that Mr. Bashir Ahmad Lone was a highly dedicated, sincere, and honest teacher and an exemplary stalwart of the Education Department who worked tirelessly with selfless devotion throughout his career. They remarked that teachers like Mr. Bashir Ahmad Lone are like candles that illuminate the entire department, inspiring generations through their knowledge, character, and conduct. They further expressed hope that the teaching fraternity would follow the same spirit of dedication, professionalism, and commitment upheld by him.
