Doon School, Srinagar, recently organized an ophthalmological (eye) check-up camp for the students in successful coordination with Dr. Agarwal's Eye Hospital, Qamwari.
During the camp, a team of specialists thoroughly examined the young students and provided them with essential guidance on maintaining proper eye care. This highly beneficial initiative was widely appreciated by Doon school community, which expressed its sincere gratitude to the dedicated staff of Dr. Agarwal's Hospital for their valuable cooperation, support, and contribution towards making the programme a grand success.

The educational visit of the Grade XI and XII science students to the Upper Sindh Hydel Project at Kangan offered a practical deep dive into the mechanics of renewable energy. Students observed the transition of energy from the high-velocity waters of the Sindh River into mechanical rotation via massive turbines, eventually culminating in electrical generation through electromagnetic induction.By examining the control rooms and penstock systems, students gained a firsthand understanding of the technical challenges and environmental considerations essential to sustaining the power grid of Jammu and Kashmir.

The inaugural inter-school Basketball tournament -2026 kicked off with great enthusiasm at Doon School, Srinagar, marking a historic milestone for the institution's sports calendar. The prestigious event was graced by distinguished guests, including Ms. Mehnaz Chisti, ARTO (JKAS), and renowned journalist Mr. Tajamul, who witnessed the high-energy matches alongside the school's Principal and Vice Chairman, Mr. Sayan Khan. The tournament officially commenced with an inspiring opening address by the Principal, who motivated the young athletes to embrace sportsmanship and excellence. Adding to the excitement of the grand opening, the magnificent tournament trophies were formally revealed, setting a competitive and celebratory tone for the thrilling games that followed.

In an absolute masterclass of grit and sporting brilliance, Doon School Srinagar girls' cricket team has etched their names into the history books. Competing in the prestigious Jammu and Kashmir Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament at the legendary BHSS Ground, our athletes delivered a performance for the ages.
Against all odds and facing the region's fiercest competition, our team stormed through the brackets to secure a monumental First Runner-Up Position.

Celebrating Mother’s Day, Doon School Srinagar transformed the classroom into a space of pure heart and creativity for students from Grade III to VII. While our younger students in Grades III and IV poured their excitement into vibrant, glitter dusted cards and handmade bookmarks, the older students in Grades V through VII took a more reflective path, capturing the "heroism" of motherhood through soulful paragraphs, nostalgic short stories, and deeply personal letters. It was a beautiful sight to see every student, whether through a splash of color or a carefully chosen word, working with such devotion to ensure their mothers receive a keepsake that is as unique and irreplaceable as the love they were celebrating.

Doon School Srinagar is immensely proud to announce the stellar performance of its students in the Silverzone International Olympiads, where they secured a remarkable tally of honors across four specialized streams: Science (20 toppers), STEM (10 toppers), Mathematics (9 toppers), and Artificial Intelligence (5 toppers). This exceptional feat was further highlighted by the achievement of three State Toppers, with two hailing from the STEM category and one from Artificial Intelligence. To honor this global recognition and academic rigor, the achievers were formally felicitated by the Honourable Chairman and the Principal, who lauded their dedication and encouraged them to continue their pursuit of excellence. The entire school community celebrates these young scholars for their analytical prowess and for bringing such distinction to the institution on such a brilliant platform.

The Grade 11 and 12 Commerce students of Doon School Srinagar participated in a high impact industrial visit to Khanmoh Phase 2 and 3. The excursion featured a deep dive into high volume food processing at STAMCO Flour Mill, the capital intensive complexities of heavy industry at Arco Steel, and the technical precision of Glass and Embroidery units. This practical masterclass allowed students to visualize essential concepts including supply chain logistics, production costs, and labor management.
