A Mass Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) was organized at BHS Batapora with enthusiastic participation of parents, students, and teaching staff. The programme aimed to strengthen parent-school coordination and to discuss the academic performance, attendance, discipline, and overall progress of students.
During the PTM, special awareness sessions were conducted regarding the usage and registration of the JK Study Buddy Chatbot, JK DigiLearn Chatbot, and JK Parents Pulse Chatbot as directed by higher authorities. Parents and students were informed about the benefits of these digital learning platforms in enhancing academic support, communication, and parental involvement in education.
The school administration ensured maximum registration of parents by guiding them through the registration process during the meeting. QR codes of all three chatbots were displayed prominently within the school premises for easy access and awareness.
Teachers interacted individually with parents, shared feedback about students, progress, and encouraged regular use of these educational digital initiatives for better learning outcomes. The programme concluded successfully with active cooperation from parents and a commitment towards effective implementation of the initiative.

On the occasion of Mother’s Day, a heartfelt topic was delivered by the students Saima Bilal and Firdous Ahmad under the guidance of Shamoon Ma’am from Habba Khatoon House at BHS Batapora. The students beautifully highlighted the love, sacrifices, care, and importance of mothers in our lives. Their speech inspired everyone to respect and value mothers for their endless support and dedication. The program created a warm and emotional atmosphere among students and staff.

On the occasion of World Red Cross Day (May 8), a special awareness program was organized at BHS Batapora focusing on the physical and mental well-being of girl students. The event aimed to promote healthy lifestyles, emotional resilience, and self-care among young learners.
The program began with an introduction to the significance of World Red Cross Day and the humanitarian efforts inspired by Henry Dunant. Teachers highlighted the importance of caring for both body and mind, especially during adolescence.

World Immunization Week was enthusiastically observed at BHS Batapora. The programme aimed to spread awareness among students about the importance of vaccination in protecting individuals and communities from life-threatening diseases.
A special lecture on the Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine was delivered during the programme by health professionals from Habak healthcare center, highlighting its crucial role in preventing serious diseases such as Cervical cancer and other HPV-related infections. The speakers emphasized the importance of timely vaccination for both boys and girls, addressed common misconceptions, and encouraged students to spread awareness about immunization within their families and community.

A Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan awareness program was successfully conducted at Govt. Boys High School Batapora, Hazratbal, Srinagar on the eve of the Mass Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) held on 24th April 2026.
The program aimed to sensitize parents and students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, disciplined, and drug-free lifestyle. During the session, teachers highlighted the increasing risks associated with substance abuse among youth and emphasized the importance of early awareness and prevention.

A healthy and meaningful
interaction took place between parents and teachers. Parents actively participated in the discussion and shared their concerns regarding their children’s academic progress, behavior, and overall development.
Teachers provided valuable feedback on students’ performance, attendance, and classroom conduct. They also guided parents on how to support their children at home through regular study habits, discipline, and positive encouragement.
Special emphasis was laid on the role of parents in preventing drug abuse under the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan. Parents were advised to maintain close supervision, ensure open communication, and create a supportive environment at home.

Earth day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at BHS Batapora, organized by Mehjoor House in collaboration with the school’s Eco Club. The event aimed to raise awareness among students about environmental protection and the importance of sustainable living.
The program began with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of Earth Day and the need to preserve our natural resources. Students actively participated in various activities such as speeches, discussions on topics like pollution control, plantation, and conservation of water.
Members of Mehjoor House took the initiative to spread the message of “Go Green, Save Earth” and encouraged everyone to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives. The Eco Club also emphasized the role of students as responsible citizens in protecting the environment.
Special thanks to Zeenat Un Nisa ma’am for delivering an insightful and inspiring lecture on the occasion of Earth Day. Her valuable words encouraged students to understand their responsibility towards protecting the environment and motivated them to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives.
