🌿A Panel Discussion on “Uttarakhand @25 Years of Development: Achievements and Way Ahead” was successfully held today, on 25th anniversary of Uttarakhand State.
We were honoured to have Dr. Arun Kuksal as the Chief Guest and Chief Speaker, whose inspiring address added great value to the event. 🙏
The panel also featured distinguished speakers — Prof. M C Sati (HOD, Economics Department), Dr. Hiranmoy Roy (Associate Professor, Economics Department), and Dr. Thakur Dev Pandey (Assistant Professor, Economics Department) — who shared deep insights on Uttarakhand’s achievements, Challenges and the road for the next 25 years ahead.
As part of the program, a Speech Competition on “Uttarakhand: Two and a Half Decades of Transformation” was also organized, showcasing the creativity and awareness of students from different Departments and classes. 🎙️

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) India Index is the country’s principal tool for measuring national and subnational progress on the SDGs and tracks 113 indicators across 16 goals. This comprehensive assessment underscores the importance of targeted interventions and strategic initiatives. The composite score for India improved from 57 in 2018 to 66 in 2020-21 to further to 71 in 2023-24.
The SDG India Index has consistently improved over the years to provide a comprehensive and comparative analysis of progress on the goals. By promoting collaborative competition, the Index not only highlights achievements but also encourages States and UTs to learn from each other to close outcome-based gaps.
