Bagless Day Celebration in Our Borong Secondary school ๐ŸŒธ
Today,our school joyfully observed Bagless Day giving our little learners a refreshing break from their regular routine and an opportunity to explore creativity in a fun-filled way.
๐ŸŒธNursery to UKG students engaged in colorful handprint activities,expressing themselves through vibrant patterns and joyful creativity.
Classes I to V participated in leaf printing, connecting with nature while creating beautiful art using different shapes and textures of leaves.
๐ŸŒผ Our senior students also actively participated in field activities,preparing for organic farming within the school compound.This hands-on experience helped them understand the importance of sustainable practices and develop a deeper connection with nature.
It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, creativity,and hands-on learning.Such activities help in enhancing imagination, motor skills,teamwork,and a love for learning beyond textbooks๐ŸŒธ

Our school Borong Secondary school proudly observed Jal Shakti Abhiyan,which started on 16th April 2026 and will continue till 30th April 2026.We also observed Earth Day today at our school premises.
The campaign aims to spread awareness about the importance of water conservation and sustainable use of natural resources.
On the occasion of Earth Day,various activities were conducted in the school campus.Students and teachers joined hands in:
โ™ป๏ธ Collecting waste from the school surroundings.
โ™ป๏ธ Reusing waste materials creatively.
๐ŸŒฑ Planting trees and plants.
๐Ÿงน Cleaning the school premises
These activities helped students understand the importance of protecting nature,saving water,and keeping our environment clean and green.

Our school enthusiastically observed Pre-World Water Day today,ahead of World Water Day (22nd March),as it falls on a Sunday this year.
A series of engaging inter-house activities were conducted to spread awareness about the importance of water conservation:

Borong Secondary school proudly participated in the Sikkimpex 2026 District Level Philatelic Exhibition,organized by the Department of Posts,West Bengal Circle on 10th and11th March 2026 at Pebble's Banquet Hall Adampool, Sikkim.
The exhibition brought together young enthusiasts from 22 schools across the region,creating a lively and enriching platform for students to explore the fascinating world of stamp collecting, postal history, and creative expression.
Students actively participated in various competitions including Letter Writing (Junior & Senior), Sit and Draw (Junior & Senior), and Quiz Competition.Our students displayed great enthusiasm,creativity,and confidence while representing the school. Though the competition was intense, their sincere efforts and participation were recognized with Certificates of Participation.
The two-day programme concluded with a wonderful educational visit to the beautiful Flower Exhibition Centre Orchidarium, giving students an opportunity to explore and appreciate the rich variety of orchids and natureโ€™s beauty.

On 7th March 2026,our Borong Secondary school had the privilege of hosting a Legal Awareness Programme organised by the District Legal Services Authority Namchi under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority.
The programme was attended by our respected Headmistress ma'am, distinguished legal officers from the District Court Namchi,along with the enthusiastic participation of SMC president,members,parents,teaching and Non teaching staff and students.The session was highly informative and helped create awareness about legal rights,duties and access to justice among everyone present.
On the same occasion,we also observed International Women's Day,highlighting the importance of women's rights,dignity and empowerment in society.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the team from the District Legal Services Authority for conducting such a meaningful and enlightening programme for our school community.

We are delighted to share that our school proudly participated in the State-Level School Eco Club Exhibition on Environment Education Programme held at MG Marg,Gangtok.
The exhibition brought together young minds from various schools to present innovative and creative projects focused on environmental conservation,waste management,and sustainable living practices.It was a wonderful platform for our students to demonstrate their ideas, teamwork,and commitment towards building a greener future.
We feel extremely proud that our students were selected at the district level and are now representing our school at the state level.Such opportunities provide valuable exposure and inspire students to adopt responsible and eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.
We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our guiding teacher, Miss Dil Kumari Gurung (GT Science),for her constant support,guidance,and encouragement in making this initiative a success.
