The Annual Inter-GHPS Chess Tournament 2026 was successfully hosted at Guru Harkrishan Public School, KALKAJI on the 28th and 29th of April 2026. This prestigious two-day event brought together the finest minds from all the branches of GHPS across Delhi, transforming the venue into a vibrant arena of focus, strategy and sportsmanship.
The occasion was distinguished by the presence of venerable dignitaries including Chairman S. Satnam Singh Ji and Senior Vice Chairman S. Kamaljeet Singh Ji Pardesi and other guests of honour. Declaring the tournament open, Chairman S. Satnam Singh Ji took a keen interest in the proceedings, observing the matches closely and offering words of wisdom that deeply resonated with the young enthusiasts. Furthering the spirit of excellence, the Principal ma’am Ms Bhavjeet kaur addressed the gathering, commending the participants for their dedication and urging them to uphold the integrity of the game.
Under the expert supervision of renowned chess coach and judge, Mr Dushyant Kumar, the tournament followed a rigorous knockout format in strict accordance with the All India Chess Federation guidelines.
After two days of intense and well-fought matches, the top positions were secured by GHPS Tilak Nagar , GHPS Hargobind Enclave, GHPS Karol Bagh & GHPS Loni Road .
The event concluded with a heartfelt *Vote of Thanks proposed by Headmistress ma’am Ms Narinder Kaur, who expressed her deepest gratitude to the management, officials, and teachers for their seamless ex*****on of the event. The students departed not just with trophies, but with an enriched sense of discipline and the invaluable experience of healthy competition.
