5th September! Bole toh Teachers day! Alag hi maze the is din ke! No padhayi nothing. 12th ke students khud bond samajhte the is din. Maine bhi samjha tha 😂. But on a serious note, thanks to our wonderful teachers for bringing the best out of us. A very happy teachers day to them and a big thank you from JDKPians all around the world! Jai Hind..

It has been over a year since I posted anything. What to say, got busy with life and stuff you know. Sometimes I wish I just could go back to being a kid again and avoid all these problems in adults life. Sometimes I wish I just could go back to Shantivan and just sit their with my school buddies and joke about silly things and just breathe without any stress. I guess that is not possible but I just wish things could be as simple as they were back in school. 🙂

But aaj post karna banta hai. Coz today is one of my favourite days from school - Teachers day!! 😁😁

I remember how excited we used to be for this day. Juniors were looking forward coz bhai padhayi nahi karni padthi thi and the seniors used to dress up as teachers and flaunt their drama 😂😂.

I just wanted to take time to pay tribute to our teachers who played such an important role in shaping our past, present and future. Each and every teacher played that role in some or the other way. If it wasn’t for them, who knows how we would have turned out in this life. This post is dedicated to all those teachers who actually wanted to make a difference in our lives and worked hard to make that happen. Thank you! Happy teachers day.

Kya zindagi hai - I just had a conversation with one of my oldest and truest of friends from school and it felt so good. It made me think, the things that were important to us when we were kids, why have we drifted away from it? So thought of writing a few lines to express myself -

‘Kya zindagi hai.... kal ek chote se lamhe mei itni khushi dhoond lete the...aaj sab kuch hone ke baad bhi shayad kuch kami hai?.....

kal toh dost ki bday party mei pepsi aur chowmein kha ke itni khushi thi..... aaj us dost ki khabar bhi nahi hai.

Kal toh bike par tripling kar ke duniya jeet lete the.... aaj woh doston ke bina yeh Audi bhi bekaar lagti hai.

Kal toh us dost ke saath murthal ke dhabe mei paranthe ki line laga dete the.... aaj us dost ko dekhe huye saal beet gaye

Kal toh jin dosto par tum jaan chidakte thay.... aaj unko poochne ke liye ek lamha bhi nahi hai

Kya zindagi hai.... kal ek chote se lamhe mei khushi dhoond lete the.....

Flashback Friday :)

These three colors meant a lot more to us while back then. Brahma, Vishnu and Shankar, although these are names of the gods but back then these meant a lot more than god itself. These colors were like an obsession to those looking to win competitions in sports, arts, quiz and what not. I still have my Green Kul T shirt with me, it meant everything to me then!!

Woh school ke saamne basketball and football ka final khelne ka maza hi kuch aur tha, that adrenaline rush after scoring a goal or that high five with the team mate after scoring a 3 pointer, us cheez ki baat hi alag thi. Ladkiyon ko impress karna final mei khel ke and fir team ke sath canteen mei Pepsi uda kar party karna. Woh time hi alag tha!

Maths mei fail ho gaye toh kya hua sir, Basketball mei toh Gold medal hai 😍😍

Kuch saal beet chuke hain.... kayi shaamein bhi guzar chuki hain aur kaafi din bhi dhal gaye hain.... par teri yaad fir bhi kuch nayi si hai is zehen mei.... wahi shaanti van mei baith ke gappe maarna... wahi morning assembly mei ‘all Indians are my brothers and sisters’ ka pledge lena 😂😂....wahi P.H.E ke period ke baad water tank pe line laga ke paani peena....wahi free period ki adjustments mei teacher ko bahar le jaane ke liye request karna - ma’am bahar le chalo 😂😂! .... kuch saal beet chuke hai par yeh sab yaadein abhi bhi zehen mei kahin chupi huyi hai..... if u guys remember any of this then kasam us water tank ke aqua guard ki irritating tune ki ...AAP JDKPian hain

Manjeet Sir, I owe you a lot and I am sure others do as well. I remember the beatings and punishments when we were mischievous, I remember you pushing us to limits to do better in football and basketball. I remember the time you took us to Kullu Manali for our very first school trip. I remember how you used to encourage us to be a better human being. A part of my personality is because of you. Sir, thanks for being a friend and for being there when we needed someone! RIP Sir, we owe you a lot! RIP.

For those who are unaware, our beloved Manjeet sir passed away a couple of days ago. He suffered from a heart attack. He was one of the best if not the best teacher we had at our school. 😞😞

Just had a major flashback, each and every one of us were in the assembly ground, wearing our white uniform on Wednesday in the scorching sun. Singing the prayer - 'Itni shakti hume de na daata, man ka vishwaas kamzor ho na! Hum chalein nek raste pe humse, bhool kar bhi koi bhool ho na!'
