It is located by the side of a beautiful river, surrounded by many mountains and lush green fields. The school is recognized and registered by the government. This year over a hundred students attend from Kindergarten to Class Eight. Every year a higher class is added to eventually make it a high school. Every morning these words eco beautifully across the surrounding mountains and fields as child
ren chant them: “O God, guide me, protect me, make of me a shining lamp and a brilliant star. Thou art the Mighty and the Powerful.”
AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
At the Glory School, children learn that acquiring knowledge alone is not enough to grow into happy and good human beings. We all need to develop such virtues and human qualities that will help us to become good citizens and useful members of society. Therefore, the children and staff learn how to acquire not only academic and other skills, but also spiritual qualities such as honesty and truthfulness, courage and self-discipline, unity and equality, love and kindness and respect for others. In addition to academic subjects, the school strives to reach excellence in various fields such as arts and crafts, music and dance, sports and athletics, computer and information technology and so on. REMOVING CAST BARRIERS:
In this part of the world, there is a very strong cast system that divides people and keeps various communities apart. Here, the children are systematically taught to forget about their cast affiliation and practically learn that all of us belong to the same human family, and that we should live with each other in peace and harmony. MORAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AND JUNIOR YOUTH:
Moral development is one of the most focused areas of teaching at the school. We have a systematic program to help children and adolescents develop their human qualities and to acquire virtues and noble thoughts. The school teachers and other volunteers have organized weekly classes and workshops for children, junior youths and their parents, in four of the surrounding villages. Efforts are underway to raise this number to six this year. Every three months all the participants of these classes are brought to the school for a two days camp, to study and to socialize. EDUCATION OF GIRLS:
Empowerment of girls is a priority at the school. Girls are encouraged to equally take part in all school activities alongside boys. HOW TO SUPPORT THE SCHOOL:
The School is serving a cluster of very small villages with very low income families who mainly depend on agriculture in their very small farms. The school charges very nominal fees, but many children, especially girls are given free education. We have two funds:
1-Development Fund
2-Sponsorship Fund for girl students. We heavily depend on generous donations of many friends and supporters from all around the world. Individuals interested in contributing are requested to contact the school so that we may suggest them payment options:
