As per 2001 census, Ziradei block had a population of 138,078. Dr. Rajendra Prasad, first President of India, was born at Ziradei on 3 December 1884. The number of households in Ziradei is 19,139. All the households are rural and there is no urban households. Female to male ratio of Ziradei is 103.91% compared to the Bihar's female to male ratio 91.93%.
