It is with great pride that we announce the participation of students from Siukapha College of Fine Art in the esteemed Charaideo Festival, held from 9th to 11th January 2026. This grand celebration provided a unique platform for our students to showcase their artistic prowess, as they presented an exquisite array of crafts and art items, meticulously crafted by their own hands.

The participating students included:

Siukapha College of Fine Art is thrilled to share that the esteemed artist and retired Prof. Atul Barua Sir from Govt. College of Art and Crafts, Guwahati, graced our BFA program final display as an external examiner for our very first batch! 🌟

Not only did he meticulously examine the students' works, but also delivered an insightful lecture, sharing his expertise on the delicate nuances and technicalities essential for aspiring artists. His guidance has undoubtedly inspired our students to strive for greatness!

We're grateful for his valuable time and wisdom. Thank you, sir, for believing in us! 🙏🏼

Today's Architectural Heritage study trip to the magnificent Keshavanarayan Vishnu Doul (Joydoul) of Jaysagar was an unforgettable experience for our BFA 1st sem students!

Built during the reign of Rudra Singha, this stunning Ahom architectural gem showcases the rich cultural heritage of our region. Our students had the incredible opportunity to not only explore the intricate details of the temple's art and architecture but to also learn about the importance of preserving and conserving such tangible properties of our heritage.

Under the guidance of our expert faculty, they also got to create sketches of the beautiful sculptures adorning the outer garbhagriha wall of this beautiful Ahom temple.

A big thank you to the authorities for their support and to our faculty for making this trip a valuable learning experience for our students!

The final display of the sanchipaat manuscript paintings created by our students with their humble attempt to recreate the traditional manuscript illustrations of Assam was held today.
Watching them immerse themselves in centuries-old artistic traditions—studying each delicate line, each symbolic motif, each natural pigment—was truly inspiring. Their dedication, creativity, and respect for our cultural heritage shone beautifully through every piece they produced.
The successful completion of this workshop is not just a learning milestone, but a heartfelt celebration of Assam’s rich artistic legacy, carried forward by young and passionate hands. A big congratulations to all the students for their hard work and special thanks to the resource person who made this workshop a meaningful and memorable experience!
