Lalit Jain Commerce college, formerly known as Silchar Commerce College was estd in the year 1996 making it the only institution in the region to be specifically orientated in Commerce education. HOD,Commerce, G.C College,Silchar) and presently Shri Amar Nath Singh is the Principal of the College. At present the college is imparting instructions in B.Com pass & honours Course. tted to provide quality commerce education and improved methods of teaching-learning devices are used to achieve the same. The College has its own building at Meherpur donated by Shri M. P Jain in the fond memory of his deceased son Lalit Jain. The College was started with a strength of 33 students which is 200+ now and increasing year by year. The faculty is a mix of experienced and young teachers to provide quality knowledge to its students to excel.
