It is the First English Medium School in Shirwal, established in 1996. It is situated on the bank of River Nira in the vicinity of Subhanmangal Fort. Initially it was started in an old wada. To make MES a modal school and motivating the students to be research oriented and set up agriculture base industry to face the global challenges. History :
In 1860 great visionaries Waman Prabhakar Bhave, Vasudev Balwant Phadke and Laxman Narhar Indapurkar came together and established Maharashtra Education Society. Over the last 160 years MES has over 75 institutions with a strength around 40,000 students. MES has expanded to Saswad, Baramati, Panvel, Belapur, Kalamboli, Shirwal, Kasar Amboli, Ahmednagar, Solapur and Chiplun in Konkan. A mighty Dnyan Wruksha is standing and proving education which is sprouted from a small seed. Remarkable Projects :

1.Every year students of Std 10 visit to Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram. They distribute sweets and material according to their need.

2. The school conducts Skill Development Program for Std 9 for their ‘ Panchkosh Vikasan’

3. Every year ’Vidyavrat’ activity is conducted for Std 8.

4. School counselor is appointed for the emotional development of students.

5. Every year Aptitude Test (Career Guidance) for Std 10 and I Q Test for Std 5 is conducted.

6. Students participate in school games conducted by ZP Sport Department.

7. Kridavardhini sports activity is conducted in the school.
