Hi all, it has been a little delayed in posting this here. But as usual we the SACSAA (St. Anthony’s College Shillong Alumni Association) have been publishing a newsletter annually to keep people posted on what is happening with us here at college or with Anthonians wherever they may be. Last year, our recent graduates of 2016 from the Mass Media department, worked on the newsletter as part of their Media Entrepreneurship and Marketing project. Just in case you can’t get hold of the hardcopy, and we know there are many of you out there who can’t, they also came up with a website version of it. Please browse through and do send us your feedback and comments. We also welcome contributions from you for our next issue in the form of articles, photographs and whatever other memories that you would like to pen down and share with us or even if you would just like to let us know what is happening with you right now. Our special thanks to Mr. Andrew Lyndem, our website developer, Sir Pilgrim Lakiang and Eshaani Bhattacharjee for their contributions to the newsletter and the very lovely Grace Singh Smith (who send us her memories of being at St. Anthony’s College, right from the other end of the globe.) Congratulations to the Mass Media students, batch of 2016, for coming up with this issue and apologies that paucity of time meant that all your other brilliant ideas just could not be accommodated. Dear Alumni please, please do send in your entries for the next issue..................looking forward to hearing from you..........The link to the web version of the newsletter is http://sacsaa.in/
This might be about the right time to also acknowledge the contributions of Freddie Michael Majaw for helping with the making of the “February 2014” version of our newsletter and to Nathaniel Nampui Majaw for the design and layout of the newsletter “Turning Eighty”, when our college turned eight decades old. Special thanks to Vivek Das too for his help in collecting the photographs and the students who helped collect material for the “desktop musings” section of it. Both the newsletters are available in the “archives” section of the website
