As part of our study tour, the Hospital and Healthcare Management (HHM) students visited Rajagiri Hospital, Kerala. The visit was robust and highly impactful, offering in-depth exposure to hospital quality standards, operations, and processes. In the area of quality management, students learned about NABH and JCI accreditation standards and gained an understanding of how a Green Operation Theatre functions. They were also introduced to the Da Vinci robotic surgical system and the hospital’s latest practices, including paperless workflows and end-to-end digitalization. A first-hand visit to the server room provided insights into how digital systems support every aspect of hospital operations. Additionally, students visited the oxygen plant and manifold, along with several other departments, effectively bridging the gap between theory and real-world healthcare practice.
