N. V. Chinmaya Vidyalaya and Chinmaya Shishu Vatika, Kanarkhed successfully organised its annual sports event ‘Khel-Mela’ on 12th and 15th Dec. 2019. The Vidyalaya, from its inception, has been known for its academics, sports activities which mould the child’s holistic personality.
The sports meet was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Shri Ashokji Ingle, Vice president of Physical Education Teachers’ Association. Shri Anil Chaudhary, COO of Vidyalaya, felicitated Shri Ashok Ingle with a shawl and a tulsi plant. This was followed by well synchronised march-pass of the Vidyalaya students. After lighting the lamp, Shri Ashokji stated the importance of sports in one’s life and that one should spare minimum one hour for exercise and games.
The Academic In-Charge of the Vidyalaya Smt. Shubhalaxmi Naik , in her speech, elaborated the meaning and importance of a healthy competition and explained children how they can balance their time which they allot to games and studies.
On the concluding day, the events which were organised for parents and students saw some splendid team performances. All enjoyed the events like race, sack race, discus throw, shot put, hurdles race, spoon and lemon race, dodge ball and passing the ball competition.
The students of the four houses Pratapgarh, Chitradurga, Chittodgarh and Jaisalmer competed with one another fiercely to make the crowd sit on the edge of the chair and set the whole pavilion on fire.
Parents appreciated the efforts of the faculty members of the Vidyalaya, who took part fearlessly in organising this event with full joy and enthusiasm.
