Manabu Japanese Language Institute (MJLI) is the leading Japanese Language Training Institute in Hyderabad. Manabu 学ぶ (まなぶ) in Japanese means "To Learn".

MJLI provides Japanese language and cultural training to both corporates and individuals. MJLI was founded by Dr. Rakhi Jain, a long-time Japan resident, with the primary objective of bridging the gap between India and Japan by promoting Japan and its unique language and culture in India. While in Tokyo, she worked as a Brand Tourism Ambassador for the government of Ota City (a Tokyo prefecture).

She appeared in Japan's leading national newspapers and television channels for promoting tourism and culture, as part of her PR and media responsibilities. She was associated with various NGO's and Japanese public schools for the promotion of Indian culture in Japan. She has also worked with various Japanese schools as an English language trainer. She is actively engaged with various Japanese government bodies to promote the Japanese language and culture in India.

We deeply mourn the demise of the former and the longest serving Prime minister of Japan Shinzo Abe. Dear friend of India and played an important role in strengthening Indo-Japan ties. He was awarded Padma Vibhushan for his public services to India.

May his soul rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family and the people of Japan, at this difficult time.

7th of July is celebrated as “Tanabata” 🎋(Star Festival) in Japan.Tanabata たなばた or 七夕,is also known as the Star Festival (星祭り Hoshi matsuri). It's a Japanese festival which comes from a legend that marks the anuual meeting of the two stars Orihime and Hikoboshi (represented by the stars Vega and Altair respectively) who got separated by the Milky Way.
According to legend, the Milky Way separates these lovers, and they are allowed to meet only once in a year i.e on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month.(7/7).

People celebrate this festival by writing their wishes on small piece of paper called as 'Tanzaku', and hang them on bamboo branches.

On Feb 20th MJLI invited special guest Manabu Koizumi San Live from Tokyo. He gave a Live demonstration on making of Onigiri( Japanese traditional food)

3 different types of Onigiri where made and introduced to our audience.
1) Plum Onigiri (Ume Onigiri)
2) Brinjal Onigiri ( Nasu Onigiri)
3) Avocado & Cucumber Onigiri

Everyone got a first hand experience speaking to our guest and look into the making of Onigiri and learning more about Japanese cuisine.
