Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, is a Hindu festival celebrating the victory of good over evil, symbolized by Lord Rama's defeat of the demon king Ravana and Goddess Durga's triumph over Mahishasura.

It marks the end of the nine-day Navratri festival and is celebrated with rituals, effigy burning, parades, and fireworks, with celebrations varying by region, including plays known as Ramlila in the North.

Navaratri is a nine-night Hindu festival in India celebrating Goddess Durga's victory over the demon Mahishasura, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. During the festival, people worship different forms of the goddess, observe fasts, perform rituals, and celebrate with folk dances like Garba and Dandiya.

The festival occurs twice a year, in March/April (Chaitra Navratri) and in September/October (Sharad Navratri), and culminates on Dussehra (Vijayadashami).

Teachers' Day is a day to recognize and appreciate the invaluable contributions of teachers to society, celebrated annually in India on September 5th to honor Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's birth anniversary.

In 1962, he requested that his birthday be a day to recognize teachers rather than a personal celebration, a tradition that continues today with students expressing gratitude through special programs, speeches, and performances to thank educators for their tireless efforts in shaping the future.

Ganesh Chaturthi is a major Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha, the god of wisdom, prosperity, and new beginnings.

Devotees bring home clay idols of Ganesha, offer prayers, sing hymns, and share sweets, especially modaks.

Ganesh Chaturthi festival promotes values of unity, joy, and devotion and is a time for community and togetherness

The festival concludes with the ceremonial immersion of the idols in water, a ritual known as Visarjan, symbolizing Ganesha's farewell and promise to return the following year.

May Lord Ganesha bring prosperity, love, laughter, happiness and good fortune to our family and friends.

The Annual General Body Meeting of Smt. Laxmibai Sanzgiri Memorial Pre - primary & Primary School was held on 23 August 2025 in Dada Borkar Hall, Sankhali Goa.

𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝘀𝗵𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗩𝘆𝗮𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲,Deputy Registrar at Goa University and Joint Secretary of our managing committee was the Guest Speaker for the function.

He highlighted the key points of implementation of policies related to school academics and how National Education Policy ( NEP ) replaces the old pattern & gives better ways for kids at foundational, middle, secondary stages in which students can use mother tongue or local language as a medium of instruction, get skill based opportunities, hand in knowledge, transformed learnings in the new era of technology and excell themselves in the subject of their choices.

Gokulashtami, also known as Janmashtami, was celebrated with great enthusiasm by pre-primary children, involving dressing up as Lord Krishna and Radha, singing devotional songs, and participating in activities like "Dahi Handi".

These celebrations aim to introduce young children to the significance of the festival and the stories of Lord Krishna in a fun and engaging way.

Children dress up as Lord Krishna and Radha, adorned with traditional attire, peacock feathers, and flutes, bringing the characters to life.

The celebrations help children understand the cultural and religious significance of Gokulashtami, introducing them to traditions and values associated with the festival.
