Guideline for SPOT Selection and Admission in Higher Secondary Schools under SAMS for Academic Session 2022-23
1. The SPOT Admission Merit List will be published on 15/09/2022 at 2.00 pm on www.samsodisha.gov.in. The number of applicants for SPOT admission will be ten times of the number of vacant seats of the respective Higher Secondary Schools left after the Second Selection admission. The selection list will be published in the e-space of respective Higher Secondary Schools on merit of the applicants who have applied to the same Higher Secondary school, but couldn’t take admission.
2. Applicants can view their selection in the www.samsodisha.gov.in website. Higher Secondary Schools are required to display the SPOT Selection merit list on the notice board without fail for the convenience of the students. 3. Interested eligible candidates whose names are on the Spot Selection merit list will have to submit their willingness in the prescribed Registration Form (Annexed) duly filled with required information at the Higher Secondary Schools where her / his name is showing, for consideration in spot admission.
4. Fresh/New applications will not be entertained for spot admission. 5. SPOT selection will be done subject to availability of seat/s. 6. Candidates who didn’t opted for slide-up request (in 1st selection), will not be considered for SPOT selection.
7. The Higher Secondary Schools wise merit list for Spot Admission will be prepared & published online for the following categories, in the order of precedence: Category-01: Candidates who were previously selected (Intimation Letter issued) but could not take admission due to various reasons (in 1st and 2nd selection). They will be required to produce the intimation letter (issued earlier) at the selected Higher Secondary School during the admission process. Category-02: Besides category-01 if vacancy arises then candidates shall be selected from the list provided @1:10 ratio out of candidates those who have applied

The scholarship amount for 11th and 12th grade will be a maximum of Rs. 6000/year
Who Can Apply?
Students whose family annual income is less than Rs. 2 Lakhs and who have completed their 10th grade/HSCE exam in the year 2021 from Odisha. They should also have scored 70% or obtained 7 CGPA in their 10th Grade/HSC examination. The cut off mark for students with disability is 60%. or 6 CGPA.
Selection Process
SDF will shortlist the applicants based on the academic performance and the information provided in the application form. This year, due to the covid situation, the shortlisted candidates will be invited for a online test/interview .
Important Dates:
31st October 2021: Application last date
30th September 2021: Screening Test
1st November to 2nd November 2021: Interview/Tests will be scheduled during this time frame. Exact date and location will be intimated to each of the shortlisted candidates.
