Hunli, Aug. 3: Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Hunli, constituted its School Management Committee (SMC) during a meeting attended by officials from the district administration, Education Department, Panchayati Raj Institutions, and community representatives.
Welcoming the gathering, Mr. Komini Meto highlighted the need for proper SMC guidelines, construction of a boundary wall for students' safety, resolution of the school land allotment issue, and greater support from local bodies for the institution's development. He also highlighted the school's consistent 100 per cent CBSE pass results over consecutive academic sessions.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Mama Miso, Zilla Parishad Member (ZPM), Hunli-Desali, assured full cooperation for the development of the school and expressed confidence that the ongoing school building would be completed within one month. In a gesture of encouragement for the students, he announced a personal contribution of โน50,000 towards their welfare and educational activities.
SDO Hunli, Mr. C.W. Manpong, emphasized that the SMC is a collective responsibility and assured full support from the district administration. BRC Mr. Hindu Meme stressed the importance of quality education, regular SMC meetings, student safety, installation of CCTV cameras, and continuous teacher training. GPM Mr. Gochi Dele also extended support by contributing โน10,000 for the students.
The meeting unanimously approved the formation of the School Management Committee under the chairmanship of Mr. Komini Meto. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Miss Inime Linggi, Headmistress In-Charge, KGBV Hunli, reaffirming the members' collective commitment towards strengthening the institution and ensuring quality education and a safe learning environment for all students.
