Medicinal Pants Cultivation : Inauguration of distribution of plants

Medical plants cultivation is gaining popularity in District. Shimla and other hilly areas of Distt Kinnaur , Mandi, Lahul Sapiti , Sirmour and Chamba also. On 13th June, 2021, 10000 rare and costly medicinal plants material was distributed to newly formed clusters of farmers and other interested grower's in Chirgaon, Maktot, Mastot , Rohru, Khangta, Tikkar , Pharoag, Hastari, Kashaini, Nakarari, Baral, Sheel Ghat, Magawata, Jubbal , Rotan, Kaiana, Kharapather, Deorighat, Khaneti, Kotkhai, Gumma, Deha, Chambi , Maraog and Theog etc. These plants were supplied by Tridevi Aushdhalya , Rohal. Mr Kripal Singh , president of the society thanked Dr Arun Chandan , Dr Daleep Thakur, Dr Mohinder, scientist Dr N K Kaith , Dr Dharuv Raj Godara, Dr Jagdish Pareek , Dr Nitika with Mr Naresh Jain, Mr Prashant K Ranjan , Mr Ranjan Rolta and Mr Tushar Langwal for their mentorship and continuous guidance.
He thanked Dr B S Chauhan , Principal GDC Seema for inauguration of phase 1 supply event for distribution of medicinal plants. His team of UBA and other students with experts from Ayush ministry , GOI and farmma companies have created momentum in our project during past two years. There is great demand of raw and finished material now and TRIDEV AUSHDHALYA , Rohal has around 2 lacs medicinal plants material ready for interested grower's and farmers. It has created employment to youth's particularly in current paendamic with material for immunity boosting. Dr B S Chauhan said that other then Tridev Aushdhalya, government herbal garden Dumrera and few other medicinal plants suppliers will distribute such plants in coming few days. Central government has allocated 500 crores rupees for promotion and cultivation of medicinal plants. Van Samridhi Jan Samridhi Yojana and many other financial support in the form of subsidies is available for innovative farmers. Government college Seema has helped many farmers of Distt Shimla to form about 10 clusters of farmers each having land of 25 bigas each or more. During past 2 yrs GDC Seema has organized many orientation camps in various panchyats of Distt Shimla to popularise cultivation of medicinal plants and it has resulted in greater response from about 5000 farmers in our area. The rare and costly plants cultivation in about 250 bigas in Shimla District. will be monitored by government college Seema under UBA scheme of central government as adopted by Himachal Pradesh also.
