USTM proudly conferred the Institutional Excellence Award–2026 upon four of Tripura's most distinguished educational institutions in recognition of their outstanding contribution to academic excellence and quality education.

The awards were presented during a grand ceremony in Agartala in the presence of Hon'ble Minister Shri Brishaketu Debbarma, Hon'ble Minister of State for Industries & Commerce, Government of Tripura,

The event was also graced by Padma Shri Prof. Arunoday Saha, Former Founder Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University and Former Chairman, Higher Education Council, Government of Tripura; Prof. Shyamal Das, Former Vice-Chancellor, Tripura University; and Prof. S. K. Barik, Former Director, NBRI, Lucknow, as distinguished guests. The programme was also attended by Shri Mahbubul Hoque, Hon'ble Founder Chancellor, USTM, and Prof. G. D. The programme also featured an enriching workshop on "Career Opportunities in the Context of NEP-2020," where eminent academicians shared valuable insights on multidisciplinary education.

On the occasion, USTM also announced an exclusive scholarship scheme for 50 meritorious students of Tripura, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing talent and expanding access to quality higher education.
