A Free Health Camp was organised at D.A.V. Public School Bariatu, Ranchi.
The camp by organised by Bhagwan Mahavir Manipal Hospital Ranchi.
In the two days camp that concluded on 22.8.2026 students of VI to X were given valuable suggestions and guidelines to maintain good health were extended by the doctors of that hospital.
Opthalmologist Dr. Ritika Sharma
, Dentists Dr. Ankita Mishra and Dr. Manisha Tiwary checked the eye and dental health of students and extended their valuable suggestions to them for taking better care of eyes or teeth.
Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Rakesh Agrawal made the camp enthusiastic by engaging students in quiz related to muscles, bones and their better care.
Cardiologist Dr. Rohit Senger engaged students in practical of performing CPR in case of emergency.
The staff of the school also got benefitted of their health check -up by the team of doctors.
The Principal Shri Sanjay Kumar Mishra showered gratitude to the doctor for sparing their valuable time.

Independence Day Celebration

Remembering the past and building a united future.

DAV Public School, Bariatu, observed Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas on August 14, to solemnly remember the pain, sufferings, and supreme sacrifices of the millions of people affected by the 1947 partition of India. The observance aimed to educate the younger generation about the historical trauma of the partition and to instill values of unity, peace, and social harmony.
A total of 25 creative models were prepared and showcased by students, depicting the historical events, refugee migrations, border demarcations, and the resilience of those who rebuilt their lives from scratch.
A dedicated wall magazine centered entirely on the theme of the Partition of India was curated and put on display, featuring thought-provoking articles, poems, sketches, and historical facts compiled by the students.
An informative exhibition was set up featuring photographs, documents, and timelines illustrating the harrowing realities and massive human displacement during the partition era.
Comprehensive digital presentations were led by students and faculty members. These multimedia displays detailed the socio-political background of 1947, migration statistics, and stories of courage amidst adversity.
The event commenced with a solemn tribute to the victims of the partition in the morning assembly. Student speakers addressed the gathering, emphasizing that remembering the past is crucial to safeguarding the nation's integrity and preventing future social divisions. A role play was also enacted by students of class XI .
The observance of _Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas_ at DAV Bariatu served as a profound learning experience. Through the interactive exhibits, 25 diverse models, the thematic wall magazine, and digital presentations, students deeply reflected on the value of freedom and the importance of maintaining national unity and brotherhood.

Educational Visit to Earth Science Museum, CMPDI, Kanke, Ranchi

An educational visit to the Earth Science Museum, Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI), Kanke, Ranchi was organised for the students of Class XII Biology on 12 August 2026. The visit aimed to provide students with an opportunity to connect their classroom learning with practical knowledge and to develop a deeper understanding of Earth sciences, geology, minerals and natural resources.

During the visit, the students explored various exhibits and displays related to the geological history of the Earth, different types of rocks and minerals, fossils, and the formation and distribution of mineral resources. The students gained valuable insights into the significance of geological resources and their role in human life and development. The exhibits helped them understand several concepts that they had studied theoretically in their textbooks.

The visit was highly informative and engaging. The students showed keen interest in the exhibits and actively participated in the learning experience. They were encouraged to observe, ask questions and develop scientific curiosity.

The educational excursion proved to be a meaningful learning experience for the students. It broadened their knowledge beyond the classroom and helped them appreciate the importance of Earth’s natural resources and the need for their responsible and sustainable use.

REPORT ON HINDI KAVYA PATH PRATIYOGITA

To commemorate Kranti Diwas and instill a deep sense of patriotism, nationalism, and historical consciousness among young minds, a vibrant Hindi Kavya Path Pratiyogita was organized at DAV Public School, Bariatu. The event served as an ideal platform for students to showcase their poetic expression while paying tribute to the supreme sacrifices of freedom fighters who shaped India’s destiny.

Ninety three students from Classes 3 to 10 participated with great zeal. The young poets displayed remarkable confidence, dramatic flair, and emotional depth in their recitations.

- Staying true to the theme of Kranti Diwas, students recited powerful verses dedicated to the Indian Independence movement and legendary revolutionaries such as Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, along with poems expressing eternal love for the motherland.- Audience Impact: The auditorium echoed with thunderous applause as stirring lines of poetry filled the air, evoking a deep spirit of national pride and reverence among teachers and students alike.

The performances were judged on the following parameters:
1. Choice of Poem & Content – Relevance to the theme
2. Expression & Intonation – Voice modulation and clarity
3. Stage Presence & Confidence

The results were announced at the end of the competition.

Principal Shri S.K. Mishra congratulated all participants for their stellar performances and sincere preparation. He urged the students to remember the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and emphasized that fulfilling our duties with dedication is the best way to serve the nation.

The Hindi Kavya Pratiyogita on Kranti Diwas concluded on a high note, successfully blending literary talent with patriotic fervor. Events like these at DAV Bariatu continue to play a pivotal role in nurturing cultural values, linguistic skills, and historical awareness among students.

The day 2 of cluster level D.A.V. Sports 2026 was inaugurated by Dr. Madhu Kant Pathak, General Secretary of Jharkhand Olympic Association.
Today athletics track and field events were conducted.
