🌟 Saluting the past, celebrating freedom and inspiring the future!

St. Mary’s N School celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great pride and enthusiasm. The celebration echoed with the patriotic spirit of our students from Pre-Nursery to Std. IV who participated wholeheartedly and showcased their talents with confidence. ❤️🤍💚

A special highlight of the programme was the skit, “India – The Golden Bird” which beautifully portrayed the glory of India, the struggles and hardships faced under British rule 💂 and the freedom achieved through the courage and sacrifices of our brave freedom fighters. 💪🏻🧠✨

A hearty round of applause to our students for their sincere efforts, enthusiastic participation and wonderful performances. Their energy and dedication truly added charm to the celebration. 👏

The programme was further enriched by the inspiring address of our Principal, Mrs. Rashmi Dewan, reminding everyone of the values of freedom, unity and responsibility towards our nation. She also expressed her heartfelt appreciation for our dedicated teachers and supportive parents, whose valuable contribution, guidance and cooperation made the celebration a memorable success. 💐

🌿 EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO THE CENTRAL TASAR RESEARCH & TRAINING INSTITUTE (CTRTI), RANCHI 🐛🧵

Learning becomes truly meaningful when children experience it beyond the classroom!

An educational trip to the Central Tasar Research & Training Institute (CTRTI), Ranchi was organized for Stds. III and IV on 23rd, 24th and 25th July 2026. As one of India's leading centres for tasar silk research and training, CTRTI provided our students with a fascinating glimpse into the journey of silk from nature to fabric.

During the visit, the students gained valuable insights into the complete life cycle of the tasar silkworm. They closely observed the tiny eggs, the growing larvae, the spinning of cocoons and the eclosion of the silk moth. They also learnt about the different varieties of the tropical tasar silkworm (Antheraea mylitta), including Daba, Sarihan and Laria which are found in Jharkhand.

One of the most exciting parts of the visit was witnessing how delicate silk threads are carefully reeled from the cocoons and transformed into beautiful fabrics. The students explored various types of silk yarn and exquisite silk products, preservation of cocoons, scientific research and the intricate process of producing high-quality silk.

The visit was graced by the esteemed presence of our Principal, Mrs. Rashmi Dewan and Vice Principal, Mrs. Pameeta Dewan whose encouragement and active participation made the excursion even more meaningful. They appreciated the valuable learning opportunities provided by the institute and encouraged the students to remain observant and eager to explore the world around them.

The trip sparked curiosity, encouraged scientific thinking and inspired the students to explore the wonders of science, nature and the rich silk heritage of Jharkhand. It was an engaging and memorable experience that beautifully connected classroom learning with real-life experiences.

🌟 INTER-SCHOOL ENGLISH RECITATION COMPETITION – 2026 at ILCC, RANCHI

The International Library and Cultural Centre (ILCC), Ranchi, organized an Inter-School English Recitation Competition on 22nd July, 2026.

The competition was conducted in two categories—Group A (Pre-Nursery & Nursery) and Group B (Prep to Std. II). Two students of our school participated in the competition, one in each group.

✨ We are proud to announce that both of them were awarded trophies and certificates for their excellent presentation.

Their remarkable achievements truly reflected their confidence, dedication and perseverance. They recited every word with poise and expression showcasing their hard work and enthusiasm.

Our Principal, Mrs. Rashmi Dewan, commended the winners for their well-deserved success. She expressed immense pride in their achievements, wished them continued success in all their future endeavours and encouraged them to keep believing in themselves, embracing every challenge and shining brightly in all times to come.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the school campus resonated with energy and enthusiasm as our young learners actively participated in a special session, celebrating the timeless practice of yoga and its role in fostering a healthy mind and body. 🌿✨

The students performed various asanas, breathing exercises and meditation techniques, while learning how yoga strengthens the body, calms the mind and nurtures inner peace. 💪🧠🕊️

The programme highlighted the importance of making yoga a part of daily life to promote physical fitness, emotional balance and overall well-being.

EARTH DAY 2026

Earth Day is celebrated every year on 22nd April to remind us of our responsibility to care for our beautiful planet 🌎. It encourages everyone to protect nature and use natural resources wisely.

To nurture a caring attitude and a sense of responsibility towards Mother Earth amongst the students, a special programme was organized to mark the significance of this day. The programme began with an inspiring message highlighting the importance of protecting nature and keeping our surroundings green and clean 🍃.

Earth Day emphasizes the deep connection we share with nature 🌿 and the responsibility we hold to preserve its beauty and balance. Challenges such as pollution 🏭, shrinking green spaces 🌲 and climatic changes 🌤 highlight the importance of making wise choices in our daily lives. Through collective efforts 🤝 and mindful actions, we can contribute to build a better tomorrow.

Students were encouraged to follow the 3 R’s ♻️ — Reduce, Reuse and Recycle in their daily lives. Simple actions like conserving water 🚰, planting trees 🌳, reducing pollution 💨 and avoiding plastic 🛍️ can help protect our environment.

On this occasion, students from Pre-Nursery to Std. IV enthusiastically participated in creative Earth-themed craft activities 🎨 and took a pledge to become responsible citizens by caring for nature and keeping their surroundings safe and pollution-free 🌼.
